I think if Wingo is going to play as bad as he has we need to try Lockett. Nibblett being on the field and expecting to be a lead blocker on screens shouldn't be a thing at all. Stroh doesn't need to be on the field. He's a liability due to having 2 cinder blocks attached to his feet. He's only good if he can get his hands on you. I think sometimes coaches tend to have a tendency to put too much into how a player practices and don't account for gamers.
The coaches see these guys in practice every day. They are much better suited to decide who plays/starts and who doesn’t.

So why portal Endries? Golden? Bond? AD Mitchel?
I think coaches know their teams better than media and fans do.
They felt they needed a TE and a WR. They got one of each.
They opted for straight development at OL. We’ll see if that pays dividends down the road.

Who is scoring the touchdowns on this team? Not an overreaction, the dust has settled… just a question
Looks like Livingstone and Endries.

Two plays later he threw a very catchable ball to Butler 30 plus yards down feild from the opposite hash. Could there be some discomfort? Sure, but hurting isn't the same as injured.
This is correct.

You deserve Charlie Strong and Sean Watson as your coach.
Only Texas fans want to fire the head coach who has them back prominent
How quickly they forget.

7 for 26 on 3rd down this season.
It is an issue.
Average yards to go on 3rd down today was 9.7 yards. Not gonna be very good when that’s the situation.

Texas seems to have other priorities than Houston at this stage, Bryant included.

The data that the NCAA and NILGo put forward earlier in the week was inaccurate, according to Deloitte.

We definitely need a red zone TD this week. For multiple reasons.

I have a question about the season tailgate pass. If I buy 2, sometimes my 2nd person is different, is that okay for season passes?
Yes, there are check-in lists for you to put them under your name.

Would really like to make the Hays City Store a weekly thing. Hopefully, some folks can make it out.

Where actually is the Surly Horns tailgate? Know a few of those guys and never thought to stop by.
Dedman right by the Thompson Center which is below LBJ Library.

@Bobby Burton will this be the tailgate for the whole season?
Yes!

Just an FYI for those so inclined.
We've got a big weekend planned in Austin.
* Gerry and I will be broadcasting Coffee & Football tomorrow morning (Friday) live from Hays City Store. Afterwards, I'm going to stick around for an early lunch if you want to join. I figure this might be a good Longhorn getaway for folks who want to take an early Friday break and just talk Longhorn football with us.
* On Friday afternoon, we'll be at the Co-Op courtesy of 40 Acres Collection from 3-4. Stop by, say hello, and get geared up for the first home game of the season.
* On Saturday, we will be at our tailgate. Adult beverages will be provided by Garage Beer and Flight by Yuengling. There is a fee for the tailgate given that there is limited space. Our partners at Surly Horns are providing the space, food, and more. You can also get a season-long tailgate pass. Each gameday, we will also be giving away a $200 gift card from Duck Camp to one lucky fan .
Hope you can catch up with us at any of these places. Or inside DKR on Saturday!

It was a conservative game plan IMO. The reason for it can be debated.

What would you say our offensive identity is under Sarkisian as the play caller? I honestly think we don’t truly have an identity…and this is not just about this game this is his entire tenure here as offensive coordinator.
I think he’s moved it from player to player and team to team.
He has typically tried to be a power run team up the middle while getting receivers the ball in space. Some teams have been more successful at that than others.

Losing sucks. To the core. So people spend time trying to figure out how not to lose next time.
That and myriad other reasons are my professional opinion.

Good points.
Ohio State wasn’t buying into the play-action fake IMO. That’s why there was rarely anyone open deep.
They were willing to give up 5 yards runs and keep their safeties deep.
