    They’re shoring up depth at LB. I don’t think Atkinson is near ready. It’s asking a lot of Cummings at this point physically. Okpala is the only freshman ready to roll.

    He practiced this morning. As of yesterday and the initial rule set, he is/was fine. But like I wrote this morning. The only caveat is Greg Sankey’s interpretation of these new rules. Not Texas, not NCAA, not the courts, etc.

    I don't know. The fact that they abstained from voting could be more legal maneuvering than how the administration actually feels IMO.

    Just an FYI - there will be more nuances to the meeting coming out of Birmingham. * There could be other aspects of the new rule not previously revealed. Again, Greg Sankey has the latitude to manage this rule. * One of those is this: I'm told the "no-pro players" ruling will include more sports than just former football, men's basketball and women's basketball players. Volleyball, softball and baseball will also be included. * I'm guessing national reporters will be all over this.

    It all depends on the look Muschamp wants to give. He has the luxury of going with a heavy four-man front or three-man front. Guys like Lance Jackson, Justus Terry and Hero Kanu give him that.

    We’re checking but can not confirm yet. But have zero reason to doubt Anwar’s report.

    Cojoe is talented. It’s been well documented that he looked like he would challenge Brandon Baker at RT last fall camp before the ACL. The only problem I have with that breakdown is that that film is from two full years ago, before he suffered a torn ACL. He was still hobbled in spring of this year. So is Cojoe fully back? Or is he only on his way back to full strength and athleticism? I don’t have the complete answer there. He looked good when I saw him in camp. But I think anointing him one way or the other is premature. Hoping for the best.
