  1. A lot of Sark's message reminds me of an updated version of former UCLA basketball Caoch John Wooden, and his pyramid of success. Coach Wooden was a great communicator, who was able to get his meesage through to his (admitedly great) players. It is not surprising to me that Coach Sark is having similar success, which I think is still in it's early stages.
  2. The O'Dowds, Tulo, and Juston still connected to the organization?
  3. BRob 39. No brainer there imo.
  4. Love hearing the SEC bagmen whine about money. Oh yeah, he told us he wasn't whining - during his whine.
  5. Not really. We have a zit or two, but I don't think toughness is it. If we could keep still on a FG attempt, we would have beaten Georgia for the SEC championship. Does anyone question their toughness?
  6. Rosey Leaks 46. Third in the Heisman voting in 73, but suffered a serious knee injury the following spring.
  7. User name seems appropriate. Good job, Ace.
  8. On vacation last year ran into his HS coach from Arp. Don't know whether the Coach or his wife had more good things to say about DMo. Really made me feel great about hikm as a person.
  9. I'll vote for the incumbent based on his dad being the greatest baseball player I've seen (been following since late Clark Field).
  10. Think we'll get a lot of answers over the next 2-3 weeks.
  11. Not in my opinion. I don't want either of these jack wagons to win, especially LSU as that would put us two titles ahead of us. Again jmo, I'd prefer UCLA or Murray ST (lol) to come out of that bracket.
  12. Kenny Perry was (is?) a HS coach at Arlington Lamar, likely where that slip came from.
  13. I get ya now. Think you may have miissed my first post about #83 - Deryl Comer, on a follow up I mentioned the play at Ark only bc Peschel would hve never been playing if we had a healthy Deryl Comer. Comer was one of the few players off those great teams that had NFL potential until his injury. A real ball player at about 6'2 or 6'3 and 230.
  14. One of our OL ran into Comer, You are the one who mentioned Street and his pass. Street didn't play in the O line. I don't care to mention the lineman's name because it was an accident, and it happened a long time ago. He probably wouldn't want his name mentioned as being involved in the knee injury that wrecked Comer's career. Capiche?
  15. Actually< I always heard one of our OL crashed into him on that play - his long time roommate in fact. That doesn't preclude bracket coverage though...
  16. Deryl Comer was such a stud that DKR would play him at DE in goal line and short yardage situations Sadly, he tore a knee up in the Cotton Bowl vs Tenn and was never the same player. (The bright side was Ark didn't think enough of his replacement to cover him). 😃
  17. Sampleton would be my go to, but Lamons shouldn't be forgotten.
  18. Will this thread include new Longhorns as well as outgoing?
  19. Will miss Kimble S. Dude worked his butt off and was a great player for us. He's not the only one, just my favorite.
  20. I've heard a lot about our "easy" schedule. Our opponents were 123-107 against all foes other than UT. Not sure the SEC was "Texas ready". 😂
  21. His Mother & Brother have come by our tailgate a couple of times, and seem like exceptional folks. I always root for Longhorns, but none more so than Barryn. His steady development while at UT implies hard work. Best of luck to him and his family. 🤘
