  1. I get ya now. Think you may have miissed my first post about #83 - Deryl Comer, on a follow up I mentioned the play at Ark only bc Peschel would hve never been playing if we had a healthy Deryl Comer. Comer was one of the few players off those great teams that had NFL potential until his injury. A real ball player at about 6'2 or 6'3 and 230.
  2. One of our OL ran into Comer, You are the one who mentioned Street and his pass. Street didn't play in the O line. I don't care to mention the lineman's name because it was an accident, and it happened a long time ago. He probably wouldn't want his name mentioned as being involved in the knee injury that wrecked Comer's career. Capiche?
  3. Actually< I always heard one of our OL crashed into him on that play - his long time roommate in fact. That doesn't preclude bracket coverage though...
  4. Deryl Comer was such a stud that DKR would play him at DE in goal line and short yardage situations Sadly, he tore a knee up in the Cotton Bowl vs Tenn and was never the same player. (The bright side was Ark didn't think enough of his replacement to cover him). 😃
  5. Sampleton would be my go to, but Lamons shouldn't be forgotten.
  6. Will this thread include new Longhorns as well as outgoing?
  7. Will miss Kimble S. Dude worked his butt off and was a great player for us. He's not the only one, just my favorite.
  8. I've heard a lot about our "easy" schedule. Our opponents were 123-107 against all foes other than UT. Not sure the SEC was "Texas ready". 😂
  9. His Mother & Brother have come by our tailgate a couple of times, and seem like exceptional folks. I always root for Longhorns, but none more so than Barryn. His steady development while at UT implies hard work. Best of luck to him and his family. 🤘
  10. That may be an overstatement (with one national championship, lol), But they do have a fantastic stadium and a large fan base. They should be proud of their baseball program.
  11. Uh at $7.5M, they were all in on Beard. Willing to bet their new coach won't make nealy that much.
  12. D1 looks like they are finally coming around (now that we have injuries. Apparently KR is well-liked, but I still see a lot of aggy in his rankings. jmo.
  13. Maybe the lens he looked through was clouded by alcohol... Just sayin'.
  14. aTm has a great roster and a coach who was a GA about 3 years ago. It will be interesting to see how that goes.
  15. Hot chick? Beg to differ on that one. 😂
  16. His Mother and brother have been by our tailgate a couple of times. Really nice folks, and watchiing his football development I'm betting he's the same kind of guy. Wishing him the best success in his football career and beyond.
  17. They've screwed our brains out, imo.
  18. Yes! This was my hope, and I think our best chance for neutral officiating.
  19. This one hurts. Good luck to him on rehab / recovery.
  20. Agree with this sentiment, but I can't get on board with the terminolgy. Dump the Natty! 🤣
  21. Have those rubes ever heard of Uber?
  22. FYI Randy Peschel was a CF on the baseball team.
  23. Has anyone sent this article to Ffrench?
  24. Actually it likely won't take long to get to your seats. You come in at ground level, but walk down to your seats as the bowl is more or less dug out. Longhorn seats will be at the top of the bowl, thus not a long walk down. Not to be cranky, but I think this will be the case. When you do get to your seats, you might want to remember that it will be a looong walk the the restroom at the bottom. I remember one huge men's room at the bottom, but not remembering any others along the way. Hope this info is correct (went to a game in 2021) and my old man memory can be faulty.
