    I view this as setting a nice floor at LG if his eligiblity is granted. The year-end OL was: Goosby/Hutson/Robertson/Caampbell/Baker, and I thought they perfored pretty well - at lleast average, maybe a little better than average. Hutson would give a nice floor which could be exceeded by Seymore or Chatman at LG. The right side seems like an improvement with Siani at RT and Baker moving inside. Of course whatever unit is settled on, they will need time to work together. So I hope that can start soon, not that ong until 9/12.

    Agree that PK was good at not conceding the run. Imo, we conceded short passes. Playing off receivers, particularly on thrd downs, was my biggest complaint. I thought this left the D on the field too long, which is real problem with a quick strike O. Just thought it caused issues with TOP, evn though I'm not as concerned about that as many.

    Some really good points regarding the offense. To me the wildcard is Will's defense. I have always favored the aaggressive, attacking defense over bend but don't break style. However, it is pretty hard to quarrel with PK's results. One other observation after re-watching the blow u game this week. I would like to give props to Tre Wisner, as he was just coming back from injury and he really got the offense going. He took a lot of shots and was tired at the end when we needed to run clock. That dude was a warrior who stepped up big time in rivalry games. A big reason why we kept beating blow u and texas atm.

    Re; our schedule - We play a lot of tough teams, but there are seven home games, the neutral site vs blow u and four road games. We should be manage a 10-2 record or better to get to the playoff. But for a team with a wuss schedule like tech the bar should be at least 11-1. Wonder how sorsby would bet on that?

    I like Sendlein, but my favorite Sendlein was his dad Robin, who I think is overlooked these days. May be my second favorite LB behind Nobis.

    One more reason that one should not get carried away with the rankings. They are helpful, but certainly not perfect.

Record stood until 2010. I like all of the Longhorns pictured above, but you really need to go back and add McKay, as he is hands down th most recognized #62 in our history. He also has an understated sense of humor and lives in Austin. Would be a VERY good guest for OTF imo. Hook 'em

    Some good ones at 81, but Pat Fitzgerald for me. We wouldn't have gotten to fourth down in St Louis if not for a ridiculous one handed catch he made. As an aside, James Brown's escape from the pass rush in the end zone was ridiculous also - just an other worldly play.

    A little off subject, but Eric Metcalf was a great football player who did not have much supporting cast. As a result I think he gets underrated, but he was dynamic with his speed, hands and wiggle in his hips. He could make people miss him and out run them.

    think Roy had a couple of sub 10.2's at Permian also. His track times / distances were pretty amazing

    Exactly, and for every one who makes the Sweet 16 (Sean Miller), there are 20 who get their shorts pulled down if they escape Dayton.

    Grubbs is way off last year's form. Not sure what has happened, but sure wish they could get that back.

    Purdue, Northwestern, Nebraska, Minnesota, Rutgers, Maryland, and UCLA. Not including Indiana since CC showed up two years ago. Not counting Michigan State or Wisconsin because they are "mid" and have been decent somewhat recently. There is a lot more under belly there than is in the SEC, jmo.
