  1. Get well soon. I don't like predictions, but despite Klubnik being a great NFL prospect, he is going to be running for his life all game long. He'll make some plays, but he's going to get sacked AT LEAST 5 times. Not sure what that adds up to but I would say TEXAS scores 40+ and the TEXAS D will be the TEXAS D like they have all year long. Get well soon! I hate hospitals, especially ICU, ER, hospital rooms, and rehab centers. Like you, I spent Christmas time in the hospital 3 years ago. God bless you!
  2. Reece Wise WAY WAY WAY better than advertised. Did I say WAY? I said WAY.
  3. I hope we land him, but let's face it: who thought Helm was going to be as good as he ended up being? I think we have some great prospects in the wings.
  4. I hope Sark convinces Bledsoe to stay as well. He's got unlimited potential...yes, that means you haven't done it yet, but he's got the tools, along with coaching, to be really good. I guess we'll see.
  5. why wait for the portal? let's offer Gout Gout and teach him to catch the football!
  6. I said it first! lol Here's something else that needs to be said: The powers that be need to lock up PK for the foreseeable future. While this defense SEEMS to be an all-timer, the truth is that we might very well be better next year. We have AntHill back next year. We have MM back. While we may lose 2 safeties, their backups look awesome. Simmons is here next year. And a host of other pass rushers, including Burke, who I see as a player who is just getting better and better. LeFau is back. We were worried going into this year about the DT position. Well, PK took care of that...and will do it yet again. We just recruited 3 stud DTs and we have January waiting in the wings. On offense, we have Arch, and he doesn't give a damn about any 3 high safety looks. He's going to be great, barring injury, of course. I realize we lose a lot on the OL, but we've got some studs in waiting. Sark has done our program PROUD. HOOKEM.
  7. Great post. I am surprised that no one has replied. While we lost, the close loss tells us how close we really are. Of course we are disappointed, but this season has only just began! When you lose and it's so close, then the tendency is to try harder. We're going to do that.
  8. OK...but this mock has Sanders and Ward going 1 and 3 in the first round
  9. yep...especially the 11th hour drama...you have to wonder what's next
  10. Mbatchou flipped already? he just committed! lol
  11. the trolls always show themselves on these type of threads...it's to be expected
  12. Well that sure changes the complexion of the final regular season game
  13. yet ANOTHER interception! whoa
  14. Looks like FLA will beat Ole Miss
  15. ...and it's only going to get wilder and woolier from here!!
  16. That's his size as a junior in HS. I doubt he's 6'4" 270 when he gets to college. And I'm certain he won't be that size after a RS year.
  17. They're pretty big...no need for metal bats...wood should be enough
  18. irresponsible comment. He is great MENTALLY but does not have the great ATHLETIC skills that other top QBs possess. In spite of that, he presents a threat to ANY team he faces.
  19. huh? They're 9-0
  20. Yes, great post!...basically what I've been writing for 6 weeks as well. If you want a winning record, then Ewers is your man. He's good to the point that he may even beat some really good teams. But he has certain weaknesses: 1) low delivery point in comparison to other great passers 2) not mobile at all, which is just another way of saying he's not a great ATHLETE,...he won't get confused with Mahomes anytime soon. 3) When he DOES run he usually gets some much needed yards because no one expects him to run.. 4) his long throws are so far off so often that no teams respect the long ball from him. That means the defenses can concentrate sole on the intermediate routes and the running game. Therefore, IF Ewers throws an accurate long ball, it is a TD because the safeties ignored the possibility of the long throw before the game even began. His strengths: 1) Pinpoint accuracy in the short to intermediate throws 2) his TIMING on those throws is exceptional 3) he knows the offense as well as any QB that has ever played ANY offense in college 4) In spite of his lower than desired release point, the ball rolls off his fingers with ease and produces a tight spiral and easy to catch as well...it's why the ball rarely sails on him...if anything the ball is thrown in such a way that the aerodynmics of it all mean the nose of the football may even be a little low at the catch point, making catches easier...IMO As far as Arch is concerned: 1) We have no idea just how good he can be 2) but, we can see that he is extremely accurate on those bombs 3) because the defense MUST account for the high possibility of a bomb threat, they cannot sellout on the run...EVER...this means the running game SHOULD be better under Arch 4) Arch can throw from the pocket, escape from the pocket, throw on the run, and, run...and he's dangerous there as he is pretty dern fast That means Arch has a Mahomes type of game. Great arm, great accuracy, danger from anywhere regardless of down and yardage or field position. Barring injury Arch will be better than not only Quinn, but perhaps the best prospect from and NFL prospective since Mahomes...even though SOME morons didn't recognize it in Mahomes at the time of the draft! All that to say I love me some Quinn, but he has some pressing issues that need to be addressed. Strangely, even after all those issues, I STILL see him better than some of the 1st round QB picks in the latest draft. Does that mean Quinn will go first round? That is yet to be determined. I think we boatrace Kentucky, and aTm. Our biggest threats in the playoffs? UGA and Alabama. Oregon's Dillon Gabrielle? we'll be ready for that pesky, slippery, rat THIS time! tOSU is ALWAYS dangerous, of course. Let the games begin. JMO
