  1. That was complete bogus to begin with.
  2. MARCEL “CHANTS” REED EVERYBODY
  3. Russel westbrick?! The man’s name is Westbrook! Iconic video
  4. My god SC is so bad. They’re gonna screw this up aren’t they?
  5. I swear to god if sellers screws this up… Just run the ball, they can’t stop you. Gonna be a long game for Reed in Austin. He shuts down when facing pressure.
  6. I will say that Georgia does not have the personell that OSU does. They got guys but they can definitely be had in the secondary.
  7. That's what OSU did right? I suspect that's what georgia is going to do. Unless you can bring 2+ free rushers in his face when blitizing it makes no sense to blitz Arch. He's not really affected by pressure, especially if it comes from a single guy.
  8. So the ACC sucks, and they're only gonna get 1 team in. The Big 12 does not have 2 teams worthy of the CFP imo, but they still might get two in. Georgia is peaking at the right time, and I don't think "overconfidence" is gonna be a factor on saturday, but at least they might be a little more relaxed? Texas A&M can be had. Gotta tackle really well on defense and be aggressive. Gotta run the ball on them. I feel decentely optimistic about making the CFP. Unless we revert back to the Kentucky offense we had or the defense completely implodes.
  9. Got benched after Wake Forest... 9td to 8 ints 58% completion... Still salty about Texas though since he was liking tweets/reels on instagram about the Texas offense being bad at the start of the year/ criticism of QB play.
  10. No idea, but I'd wait after Georgia to talk about putting Brooks at LG as a liability or why didn't they immediately put hutson there. Georgia's got much better atheltes than vanderbilt. Until they prove me wrong in Athens my take is that we outschemed Vandy. Hard to outscheme Georgia.
  11. Going to a spurs game but it looks like Arch is probably staying in Texas for the weekend, he’s locked in for Georgia🤘🤘
  12. Wow, thank you Jeff. I knew Arch has been handling pressure and blitzes well but I didn’t know he was doing it to that extent. If with this new rotation we can provide more protection going forward then maybe the first 7 games weren’t bad for Arch from learning POV, letting him feel what getting pressured constantly feels like and how you avoid it/work against it. Hearing these stats I think the OL against georgia has got to be good enough for Arch to get the ball out after 2.5 seconds on most drop backs, The occasional pressures Arch can handle smoothly. If the Arch that is accurate with the football shows up I really like our chances, at least on the offensive side of the ball. Really good read
  13. He has definitely not been to the level he needs to be in the intermediate but there's a lot more factors that go into it besides Arch: - When is he throwing in that area? Is it a lot on 3rd and long? When OL isn't blocking anything and Arch is getting pressured the most? - How many passes are dropped? Cause I'm pretty sure I saw more than a few in the intermediate just last game... - Still not incredible rapport with the receivers and quite a few times a game they aren't where they need to be... does Arch trust them to be where they need to be? - How many plays does Sark call for his receivers to run routes in the intermediate range? Again, not a lot of rapport in that area between Arch and the receivers but it's hard to build that rapport when they are only getting called on 3rd and long... It's a very fair criticism to point out that he needs to get better in the intermediate but that's also an area where young QBs typically struggle, especially when confidence isn't all there from the QB
  14. He's also much looser with the football in both fumbles and interceptions. That can be devastating in a game like this. Quinn big problem was definitely "running into sacks" and not really maneuvering in the pocket and stuff. Arch has been up and down and making the easy stuff look really hard but it's 3 weeks in a row with 0 turnover worthy throws while being under pressure most of the time. I absolutely agree with you if this can be a kentucky/OU type game... I'm much more afraid of the game turning into a situation where the defense is tired/leaky and we have to score 30+. If we can't run the ball and OL isn't protecting I don't see us winning without Arch. I'm not as confident as some people here are about this being "Texas' game to lose"... but I'm also often very wrong so I'll gladly eat crow if we stomp Vandy this saturday 😅😂
  15. The hell were you looking at to think he needed to get benched in the 3rd lol some of the fans here really are too emotional
  16. Coached by the same guy that found Cam ward... SARK LET'S GET ERIC MORRIS ON A PLANE TO AUSTIN!
  17. It says more about Sark than Arch lol… He hasn’t been playing as good as you’d want him to but he’s far from the only reason we’re struggling on offense. He’s also really talented but is having some struggles mentally. Giving up on Texas cause you think it’s not possible to save the offense would be the stupidest reason to leave I’d ever hear in my lifetime. He’s got unlimited resources. If Arch can’t seem to get over the hump mentally you CAN move on without having to leave Texas lol
  18. Maybe he really wants out. This would be a big way in making it easier for CDC to pull the trigger and move on from Sark. From Sark’s perspective it’s very puzzling: no way he’s so arrogant that he thinks he deserves an extension and no way, regardless of the struggles, would it make sense for him to think that he has no chance in turning around the offense next season… He’s got unlimited resources and a top class coming in. Only thing that makes sense is that he genuinely wants to move on from Texas and it isn’t a panic move to save his ass and it’s not with the intention of getting a raise.
  19. Gerry’s talked about it, the problem with Arch is between the ears. Sark really knows the kind of player Arch can be and him knowing that believes that the solution is anything but benching Arch or giving him a smaller role. He’s already in a slump of confidence, the solution is not moving on or putting him aside. He’s gotta work through it and get over it. Whether he does or not I think it will determine his future next season at Texas.
  20. You want a QB change cause that's easiest way that the offense would be fixed, in your mind. Arch needs to play better, but he's not reason we suck on offense. The sooner a lot of people come to that realization, the sooner we can look at the real problems for this team. Sark is way too arrogant in everything he's doing right now. The OL is hot garbage. We have zero game breakers at RB, zero. We always had one with Sark. Running the ball is paramout to his offensive schemes. Receivers are both too inexperienced and not talented enough. TEs are the worst they've been in the last few years. They aren't exceptional blockers and they certainly aren't athletic enough to make up for it. Sark still doesn't have a clue about what the offense does well: we have talented ENOUGH players that is just unthinkable to me that there isn't things we can't do well. Sark needed to figure it out months ago. We're complacent and we ride the emotional roller coaster every week. The guys are inexperienced and it really shows. We make stupid mistakes, after stupid mistakes, after undisciplined mistakes. I can go on. Arch gets 70 yard more in the air by hitting the easy stuff THAT HE SHOULD'VE HIT and it still really doesn't change the outlook of the game
  21. Yeah we're winning the SEC with Caldwell or Lacy... give me a break please. Nothing's working on offense, and this is Sark's baby. It's on Sark. Benching him would be career suicide because it's just a stupid move. You don't change the trajectory of this year's team and you hinder you relationship with a QB that is getting hardly any help and all the blame for the offense mishaps. Face it guys: we don't a worthy, a mithcell, a golden, a jaydon blue, a bijan robinson, a banks or any veteran player besides moore and campbell. Sark screwed it up in the portal and we're in a rebuild year when we shouldn't have been. This first year should for Arch should've been the year where he's got THE MOST help around him, not the least in his tenure at Texas.
  22. I've seen on my twitter feed highlights of Raiola (wacthed the game too) and I can almost guarantee you a team next year (the browns probably) is gonna absolutely waste a 1st round pick thinking they're getting mahomes. He's just not good, and maybe I'm completely wrong, but I see so many things he does EVERY play that just screams "that is gonna backfire horribly at the next level". He keeps dropping his arm down when throwing, he's slow to get out of the pocket(not even in the same stratosphere as the athlete that Mahomes was/is), he doesn't really have good instincts on where to escape when rushed... but he bobbles one or two throws a game "throwing" with his left and suddenly people claim that he's a "really instinctive football player"... I don't know, and I don't mean to dog on the kid cause he seems nice enough but I'd like to hear some of you guys thoughts...
  23. This is the SEC. If you don't consider last weekvs OU a beatdown then you're not gonna see many beatdowns at all.
  24. Hard to throw against your body when pressured, much easier to throw in front of you or to the right. If you do throw against your body while being hit/ pressured it is much easier to be more inaccurate because of your mechanics having to be much more clean if you have to put more juice on the ball. Even all the short throws we had were there to minimize the impact of what is probably the best DL in the country. Just a great gameplan by sark. Also when talking about throws to the left I think he had a really great throw to Mosley that was broken up because of a good play by the DB.
