  1. To me it was a clear message to guys looking for an opportunity (well, agents) that Texas is gonna be in the market big time.
  2. They're not going to be. You don't go into the NSD press conference and mention the need to sure up the OL in the portal 3 times just for funsies
  3. Regardless of all that it is a batshit crazy statement to say that you're being persecuted because your university isn't making the playoffs lmao
  4. Last line is WILD 😂, although I agree that BYU should be in the spot that Notre Dame is, even if the B12 is absolute doo doo. Funny how "Wins and losses matter" and "Who you beat matters" apparentely applies to anyone but Texas. If OSU and UGA win their conference championship game we'll have played both the winner of the SEC and B10, who are by far the best conferences in CFB. I think that should mean something. Still think we have a very slim chance but I don't think we have 0 chances of getting in. If the committee doesn't push Bama out in a situation where they get handled by UGA then why do we even play these conference championship games? Are they gonna become just exhibition games?
  5. Teams ranked 1-2, in order: Ohio State, 12 - 0 Indiana, 12 - 0 Teams ranked 3-7, in order: Georgia, 11 - 1 Texas Tech, 11 - 1 Oregon, 11 - 1 Ole Miss, 11 - 1 Texas A&M, 11 - 1 Teams ranked 8-10, in order: Oklahoma, 10 - 2 Alabama, 10 - 2 Notre Dame, 10 - 2 Fringe Playoff Teams, in order: BYU, 11 - 1 Miami, 10 - 2 Texas, 9 - 3 Why do we even need a committee? What are they useful for? The clearly don't have a better understanding of college football than the average viewer. It doesn't matter who you beat, it matters what your record says and apparently how you look in the eyes of the committee, cause there is no argument for Notre Dame above Miami other than "eye test". As for an outside shot at Texas making it in the playoffs: - UGA wins soundly against Bama, props up our SOS. - OSU wins soundly against Indiana, props up our SOS. - Tech wins against BYU, that would put us above BYU I think. - Duke wins the acc at 8-5 and shows that the ACC is a joke of a conference. Don't think we're getting in but these are the scenarios to even have a small chance at getting selected. Cancel all future blue blood OOC games, they only hinder your chances at getting a 10-2 or better record.
  6. BOOOOOOM!!!!!
  7. If we can afford him i'd love to have him obviously, but to me there's more pressing matters to address. I'd be more than fine if we get a P4 guy with production that is "underrated" and that is in a contract year. It seems to be working out well for Texas.
  8. I like Coleman, but as an SEC school dealing with revenue share you have to ask yourself if spending 3/4 million on WR is the best move IMO. I think if he enters he'll go to B10 school who's willing to have a WR room of him and a bunch of JAGs.
  9. The OC was also seen going to baton rouge on one of the PJs
  10. Even not being close enough to it we can't act like he didn't made it out to be a huge deal when it was clear as day he was gonna leave. We act like him tweeting from his dog's twitter account about going to the SEC championship isn't out of touch? He never thought stringing along an entire fanbase wasn't gonna backfire? Be straightforward about your decision and that's it, go out classy. In his tweet announcing his departure he's litterally throwing the AD under the bus.
  11. Jk Pat Fitzgerald from Northwestern next HC for Michigan State
  12. Gerry Hamilton to be hired as the next HC of the Michigan State Spartans
  13. Per the reporter who cited Ludacris in Dr.Dre's hit song "Housewife". It's also reported that the announcement of Golding becmoing the head coach and his meeting was very well received by the players.
  14. Eh. For some teams, sure. I don't think it's gonna be across the board.
  15. Hey until Elko and Vegetables show me otherwise I'm gonna have around 70% confidence we win against them. They didn't manage to beat us in our down year, they're not going to beat us next year after we've gone all in. Team is gonna be up for both of these games like always and they're not going to take them for granted cause the leadership isn't gonna change in this team and after this year they're gonna be hungry. It's the year after we're really gonna have to worry about with A&M and OU.
  16. The whole offensive staff just got a 100% raise Billy is the GM btw, so Lane got two private jets to land in Tupelo just to leave with his brother and the GM.
  17. For the SEC schedule: at LSU 50% W - Tough game, gonna be an incredible enviroment, still think they're not gonna be ready immediately but you never know. They had a really good defense this year and Lane can fix the offense. at Tennessee 75% W - Lots of talk about Heupel leaving, either way I don't really see how they get better and they need to get A LOT better, especially on defense. Their QB is leaving, I think? at Missouri 60% W - They're gonna be a good team, Eli is not leaving and they're one of those SEC teams that even with a talent disparity can be really really tough to play against. Trap game imo. at Texas A&M 75% W - They lose so many guys and being in the CFP is gonna make it hard to really go "all in" in the portal, feels like Texas last year except their QB is coming back. Think they're gonna be a lot worse. Oklahoma 70% W - Tough to say, defense is always gonna be good but when are they going to figure it out offensively? Either way I think the defense is gonna take a step back and Sark seems to have Venables' number. Florida 80% W - They're gonna be better but not as talented. Don't think it's gonna be close since we play them at home and we got embarassed this year by them. Team's gonna be up for it. Arkansas 99% W - They're gonna be the worst team in the SEC. Ole Miss 80% W - They're not gonna be nearly as good. All the players that outside their facility are talking about how they're going to the natty will jump ship at the first opportunity. They're mercenaries like their coach. Mississippi State 80% W - It's gonna be a tougher game than people realize. Still, we play them at home. Like our chances. I honestly feel like it's gonna be a schedule where all off season people talk about is how grueling it's gonna be and then most teams we play end up being wayyyy overrated. I also look at it from the point of view of "Who's gonna have a REALLY good defense?" cause in mind the chances of not having a top 10/15 offense next year are slim and I don't think we're gonna suck on defense either.
  18. Looks like Lane's gambit didn't work?
  19. From the moment they hired him it seemed like oil and water to me. Didn't help that he had to follow the greatest coach of all time. He'd be a much, much better fit at PSU or even Michigan imo.
  20. Add coastal carolina lol, their coach just got fired
