    I’m not sure I get Gumbo being the first righty off the bench and replacing Larson. It’s not like he mashes lefties and he’s also not particularly good defensively.

    I always felt Blair was Craig Smith with no ACLs. I loved Craig Smith and he’s often forgotten now . Absolute monster and him + Jared Dudley were a problem.

    Those Pitt teams were physical. Levance Fields was a classic NYC point guard that was tough as nails.

    Pittsnogle was an absolute monster. I was a big Boston College fan before attending Texas and miss Big East basketball so much.

    Really liked the pickup at the time. I guess the only question is if his size will hold up on the outside against some of the bigger freaks at WR in the SEC.

    Probably the most overused excuse in coaching. There are situations it fits but I don’t think this was one of them. Big fan of Vic and what he’s done with the program though. Think he gets too emotional (both high and low) in his pressers. For example, talking about how all his players do is whine. He’s probably in the refs ear more than any coach in the conference. Those kind of things might not play well in the locker room. We shall see if he pushed the right buttons. I hope so and odds are he did as his resume speaks for itself.

    Meh that’s a cop out. Toughness and heart probably didn’t crack the top 10 of reasons they lost. Horrendous defensive gameplan was far and away #1.

    Very very poorly coached game from Vic. Yeah it always comes down to making shots but the offense has zero spacing and the switching in defense is clearly not working and we’ve made zero adjustments. Oh well, On to the next.
