    I think the team has no offensive identity, no defensive identity, no cultural identity, and poor roster construction. There is some talent but it doesn’t fit. Out of those, maybe one you can blame on NIL (roster construction). And that’s still primarily on RT. You seem to use this “Texas is poor” narrative. Do we spend like the blue bloods or a some new money schools? No but we’re in that next tier. “Finding a coach that can do more with less was doable pre NIL and pre portal. Can that work now?” I also have no idea what you mean here. So coaches that overachieve will no longer be a thing because of NIL? I think you’ve tried so hard to defend RT that you’ve completely lost the plot.

    You seem to always excuse RT’s poor performance and blame nil/fan support. There are so many teams In the country that are better than us with worse a worse NIL situation.

    He might be a veteran but he’s actually still very raw and can’t run routes. Don’t see that working for Sark.

    Nobody blocked well because the players were put in a terrible position to be successful. They were asked to block when the defense had them outnumbered and out leveraged to the left side. Worst play call in Texas football history given the importance.

    Spot on. The answer Sark gave in the press conference is almost more worrisome than the play call itself. Put it on the players’ execution. I hope that was just a heat of the moment mistake and not arrogance.

    Blocking was poor because 5 players had to execute a near impossible block perfectly. They were out leveraged and outnumbered to the left side. Worst play call maybe in college football history (when factoring in the moment) and Sark doubles down. Nothing wrong with holding players accountable as long as he holds himself to the same standards.

    My main issue is him blaming the players. “If we blocked it right it’s a TD”. Such a lame answer. And not even true. We were outnumbered on the edge. Even if every block was perfectly executed, Downs would’ve been untouched.

    Cmon man that’s a terrible answer. In fact, him factoring in maybe getting the ball back makes the toss play call even worse. Would you rather Ohio st take over on their own 1 or at their own 10?

    So sounds like he still liked the play call and is blaming it on the “leaky” blocking. should’ve just said “bad call by me and I let the players down”.

    Jordan Ross Tennessee? I remember we were recruiting him at one point so curious what we missed out on. he played in 2 games (0 in conference) and registered 3 tackles. That’s it. All SEC Freshman. What?

    Pure speed guy who tore his ACL in September. So a bit risky in terms of 5* WR if he doesn’t regain top speed.

    Desperate losing programs will make for some wild recruitments. But losing programs are losers for a reason. Just have to hammer that home.

    Just shows how much recruits will buy hope. Hope is probably even a stronger selling point than proven success. Well that and Sun Belt Billy’s buyout money.
