    A cold series on offense happens. The hogs are talented and while we had some better swings today, they shut us down completely the first two. The pitching is very concerning. Spencer injury is massive as we already didn’t have the deepest roster. Most of our pitchers have no margin for error.

    So to sum up the weekend: walk, walk, home run, walk, HBP, home run. A few more walks. A few more home runs. Did I miss anything?

    Middle of the order has been awful this series. Need them to start stepping up as we’ll need to rely on the offense a bit more with Spencer down.

    Generally when they start talking about additional testing with pitchers it’s not a good sign.

    Sounds like it. Apparently they were paying him $850k last year and Stone was told that was going to be cut in half this year. So he dipped out. Nagy probably needed that extra cash for the RB

    Super excited for Jonah! On another note, is there literally nobody else that can play 2nd besides Duplantier? I played 2nd in my time, it’s not that hard.

    If you’re going to play Duplantier I think you have to have him bunt every AB.

    The videos I watched had both. Don’t think either are great blockers but both serviceable. PFF, fwiw, has them rated around the same as blockers. Endries a little ahead in pass pro and Koziol more effective run blocking.

    No idea why he left Wisconsin but just based off tape Koziel > Endries. Endries is very solid though.

    Vic saw our questions about shooting and is going to counter with a 0 out - 5 in offense.

    I’ve seen bad offensive performances but that one was up there with the worst. Mediocre/bad pitching just stuffing our offense in a locker for 15 innings. Shake it off and win a series.

    Inning was ruined by the umps. Ridiculous review where the 1Bs foot as off the bag. Then called strike 3 at the shins.
