    Agree. Sankey is damn smart and they will make a decision that is in the best interests of the conference. I don’t care if they play 8 or 9 conference games. If a school doesn’t think 8 games is tough enough then go schedule as many tough OOC games as you want.

    I like the thought process. If adding an extra conference game costs them a team in the CFP you are talking millions of dollars. This year the conferences received: $4 million for each team making the playoffs $4 million for each team making the quarterfinals $6 million for each team making the semifinal game $6 million for each team making the NC game The amounts above Do Not include the $3 million dollar fee that the conference receives for each team (per round) to cover expenses.
