  1. Great breakdown. Klatt is very articulate and my favorite TV announcer for college football. Really glad that Klatt and Gus Johnson are announcing the game especially after hearing Klatt say how excited he is for this game.
  2. I hope you are right. Hook’em.
  3. @Bobby Burton @CJ Vogel @Blake Munroe We should be nervous. Seems like many are acting like this is a walk in the park (and hopefully we win). Michigan hasn’t lost a home game since the COVID year. In 2022 they didn’t allow more than 27 points until TCU beat them in the playoffs, and allowed under 20 points ten times (6 games they allowed 10 or fewer points). in 2023 they didn’t allow more than 24 points all season and held their first 10 opponents to 15 points or fewer (in 7 of those games they allowed 7 points or less). Ohio State has been recruiting at a high level and Michigan has beaten tOSU 3 straight years and OSU hasn’t scored more than 27 points in any of those games. And OSU had CJ Stroud (no 2 overall draft pick in 2023), 4 first round WR draft picks in Marvin Harrison Jr (4th ovrerall pick in 2024, Jaxon Smith-Njigba (20th overall pick in 2023), Garrett Wilson (10th overall pick in 2022), Chris Olave (11th overall pick in 2022). That’s not to mention several OL that were highly drafted.
  4. FSU had 42 pass attempts. Only had 16 rush attempts for 21 yards and DJU had 8 of those. FSU only had 8 rushing attempts by RB’s….yikes.
  5. How are you watching your local channels? If you’re not then HULU live offers local stations plus ESPN. That’s what we currently have. Hulu + Live TV subscribers can watch college football and NFL games on ESPN, ABC, BTN, FOX, CBS, SEC Network, etc
  6. Great feature. Rod is able to analyze a game and then articulate it so the rest of us can understand. Appreciate the show from the both of you.
  7. We saw it yesterday and were laughing at how ridiculous it was. Guess he was trying to keep from losing 85-0.
  8. Gerry, as a follow up to this how would you rank the teams with the toughest DL that Texas will play this year. It seems like most SEC teams have at least one good defensive lineman (plus you have Michigan’s DL).
  9. Agree that the aggie DL is good but Leonard only threw for 158 yards and 5.3 yds per attempt. Once he settles into the offense he should improve…if not they are in trouble. The thing that saved ND last night was that Conner Weigman was so bad that he had an almost impossible low QB rating of 54.7. He completed 12 of 30 passes (40%), with 2 INT, for 100 yards and 3.3 yds per attempt.
  10. Riley Leonard had a QB rating of 104 last night against the aggies. If he has more games like that they will be lucky to win out. Playing at USC is no gimme but the LSU/USC game tonight will give everyone a better read on USC. And FSU has a bye week before playing at ND. Miami has an easy schedule and could win but you can never underestimate Cristobal’s ability to screw things up. FSU has the potential (maybe not the ability though…lol) to screw things up for ND and Miami.
  11. @Gerry Hamilton From the Cotton Holdings press release but it doesn’t say how much Cotton Holdings is contributing. Seems like that would be the biggest factor otherwise seems a bit overblown. “As the title sponsor, Cotton Holdings will receive rights to the Lone Star Showdown and associated intellectual property from both Texas A&M and the University of Texas. The sponsorship package includes season-long fan engagement opportunities, exposure through TV and radio broadcasts, in-venue signage, and featured storytelling on social media. Additionally, both universities will benefit from annual contributions to their respective NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) activation funds, courtesy of Cotton Holdings.”
  12. You have zero self awareness. Cute how you then play the victim. It’s not the message it’s your delivery. You act giddy like a school girl when delivering your info then wonder what’s wrong with everyone else. Look up obtuse.
  13. Is there an ignore button…I haven’t seen it yet. I can’t tell if your post was a bit of sarcasm that you were trying to wish into existence….lol
  14. You could both be right. “Not serious” is what they are saying…but we have seen ankle sprains linger for weeks. Let’s hope it’s minor.
  15. Same here. I would rather have a Secretariat type win at the Belmont Stakes, going wire to wire and winning by 31 lengths…lol
  16. Me also. That 1977 season brings back some good memories.
  17. I have zero idea why people misremember Texas vs ags as always on Thanksgiving every year. That is history reinvented. The last 38 times (1974-2011) Texas played the ags only 14 times on Thanksgiving night. The other 24 times was the Friday or Saturday after Thanksgiving. As a UT student, I still remember driving down to College Station in 1977 on the Saturday after Thanksgiving to watch Texas and Earl Campbell beat the ags 57-28.
  18. What about Herkie Walls? He played WR for Texas in the late 70’s and/or early 80’s. He was around 5’6” and maybe 160 lbs. he was pretty explosive and also played in the NFL if my memory is correct.
  19. I’ll be glad when the August 1 MLB signing deadline passes.
  20. He’s in the 2024 recruiting class.
