  1. I think a lot of this game hinges on whether we can get a north south run game with Baxter. We didn’t have that in the cotton bowl and it hurt us. Hope Baxter still has the one cut and go ability. Moving the ball 4 to 5 yards on first down makes this offense deadly. Ohio state is thinking of the same thing with Peoples.
  2. Well there it is. Thanks for guaranteeing the win Blake!

  4. Not a totally fair comparison of talent when you consider guys like taaffe, tre moore, tre wisner, jack endries and brad spence are not blue chip recruits on this list. We should be top 2 at worst

  11. I had been thinking about a what could go wrong thread.. essentially my thoughts were similar to what you mentioned. Arch is still experienced and it is simply unreasonable to expect him to play like a seasoned veteran like what Peyton and Eli were in their senior years. He will likely turn the ball over. The OL is clearly vulnerable given lack of time to gel. The run game could falter if we can’t run inside with wisner and Baxter can’t produce enough agility to make the first guy miss. Oh and we need to figure out a way to corral the best receiver in college football again.. this time without the Thorpe award winner. my hope is that we can pressure sayin enough to not allow the receivers to break free and stop the run with out experienced and fresh tackles. I feel good that we will have success but there are too many offensive questions for me to think we are scoring a lot of points in this game.
  12. It’s true there was a lot more issues back then crowning a true champion and it’s the reason aggy can triple their nattys overnight. If you go by those the Yale is still a blue blood program.
  13. Should be simple. If you were awarded a natty by a major outlet such as AP or UPI/coaches at the time and you and the entire base celebrated it.. that’s a true natty. All this other stuff is nonsense.
  14. Would be the ultimate troll if we beat them this year to buy a bunch of press passes for the game afterwards in Norman with UT gear on

  16. Pretty cool story. You may recall this kid going berserk during the UNT bowl game… his first start since 9th grade. Will be a fascinating follow this year. Could be another cam ward or john mateer story if he pans out. https://x.com/petethamel/status/1957523189334176091?s=46
  17. In case you haven’t seen this I’m cross posting from the Monday thread. Hilarious

  19. Not too shabby for an undrafted FA. Far cry from 1st or 2nd round money
