  1. He clearly doesn’t have the pulse of all of these recruitments. He will know when a kid is heavy on aggy. Which is why he cb’d Williams to the ags a while back. The true order is ffrench, terry, williams. Fasusi is a no go unless Texas decides to up its nil offer (unlikely unless we lose brooks) or it’s Mac and cheese game (since that was the worst part of his visit apparently).
  2. Gerry can you comment on how we need to up our Mac and Cheese game. How can we expect to attract 5 star LTs with the the sad state of affairs we have.
  3. As I said in the Guthrie thread: I like the staff combing over any possible recruits from failing regimes... arky, florida, should be top of the list!
  4. Has to be part of the equation too as an h back
  5. Where are Lamarr Houston or Henry "Shelton" when we need them?
  6. I get your point, but Blue and Wisner are more likely to get nicked up with their smaller stature. Niblett would never be a full time RB, but could be a boutique back as Bobby has called K Rob previously. We need guys that could take snaps in case of emergency.
  7. Jordan Davidson wasn't happy with our depth chart? Well...
  8. Other than Niblett, I think we should move this guy Chashard Toice.. a bit older walk on but has some wheels I hear
  9. From a talent perspective yes. From a culture perspective no.
  10. Prayers to Clark. Seems like a great kid with loads of talent. Worked his butt off to get here early for spring out of AZ
  11. I’m not sure the pluses outweigh the minuses. Rather have Woods back
  12. Can’t believe we’d miss Ky Woods this year!
  13. Ryan Niblett to RB? We can’t go into the season with 2 smaller backs blue and wisner and the freshman gibson plus a converted LB. Niblett was a RB in HS and sits 7th on the WR depth chart. should clarify. Niblett played some RB in hs. Was an all everything player.

  15. Will be interesting to see how these decent teams like aggy and ou do with a lot of front line talent but much less depth than uga, tosu, and us.
  16. Yeah auburn is definitely up there. Would hope stone can perform decently at this point.
  17. I like the Bolden pick. I had meant irreplaceable mostly from a how much is losing one guy affect the team and what do we have in reserve in the room (which is a lot at wr)… but if you consider replacing a particular skill set i completely see Bolden as a top pick. That guy will be so fun to watch this year.
  18. Good to see your perspective Gerry. Agree that with Baxter out blue is suddenly much higher on the top 10 list. I’m not sure about Cam Williams though in the top 10 because couldn’t you just move Conner to RT and move Neto into LG?
  19. With the unfortunate loss of Baxter, and the ensuing back and forth debate about how we can replace his production and intangibles, I was thinking about how you would really rank how truly "irreplaceable" a player is on the 2024 team. This is what I came up with: 1) Quinn. Yes, Arch is the heir apparent and may possibly be the superior player long term, but the importance of a 3rd year Quinn with advanced knowledge of the Sark offense can not be downplayed. 2) Ant Hill. Losing a tremendous LB in Ford, we are left with the super explosive Ford and the experienced career backup Gbenda. Beyond those 2 guys there is a huge drop off, with the smaller Blackwell, the inexperienced Lefau. 3) Manny Muhammad. Only true lock down corner. Enough said. 4) Banks. Franchise LT. We have good depth in Goosby, but he is completely inexperienced. I could see Conner filling in if Banks is out, but again, just a massive drop off. 5) Collins. Our best and most athletic DT. Lole may be close to that level, but you can't trust that injury history. 6/7) Mukuba/Williams tie. We've upgraded the safety position considerably, but without either of these guys, we have the heady but physically limited Taafe and the completely inexperienced McDonald. 8.) CJ Baxter. I was particularly afraid of a Baxter injury this year, given the lack of an experienced blocker/big back behind him. I won't rehash the arguments that have been made on numerous threads in the last few days. 9) Trey Moore. This is a projection, as I feel that he will be very productive this year. The only other twitchy EDGE we have like this is Simmons, but hard to compare a guy with so much tangible success in pass rush with a true freshman just ye. 10) Jake Majors. So much experience, so smart. Robertson could fill in admirably, but I feel that he is the 2nd most important OL. As for the rest of the roster, clearly the WRs are the most deep, even if they have completely different skill sets. Outside of Collins, we have a lot of experienced depth at DT, even if it is not as high end as last year. DE and TE depth are very good as well. You could argue Burt Auburn on the top 10 list. Second CB and WLB also concerns. Star seems fine with either Barron or Guilbeau almost interchangable. Thoughts?
  20. I'm not questioning Blue being able to get tough yards. He is a tough SOB and will give 100% effort. However, let's say he's had 15-20 carries in a game, tired, banged up... now a SEC D line is keying in on stopping the obvious run, and do you want your smaller frame back risking injury in that situation?
  21. People saying that we just need a pass blocker are missing a big issue.. when we are up by 7, 10, 14 points in the 4th quarter and want to drain the clock... who are we going to give the rock to? Who can fall forward for a few yards, have good ball security, when the defense is expecting run? I hope this is Gibson, but putting hope on a true freshman is never solid planning.
  22. The problem with inside zone is that blue can run it and he runs it with the intent of a bigger back. Once he gets planted once by a 330 pound lineman in the sec we will be down to wisner and 2 freshmen.
  23. Sucks for the kid. First major offseason casualty for one of the contenders. Aggy getting some luck going into their game 1 showdown in the tackle box. https://notredame.rivals.com/news/notre-dame-football-lt-charles-jagusah-expected-to-miss-2024-season
  24. Reminds me of the rumors from the 7 eleven clerk a few years ago. Color me a little skeptical 🧐
