  1. They didn't care because it was UNLV and a qb they didn't know. It was Nico this time.. and he's been hated and scrutinized since he took the pay for play deal they tried to hide under NIL. The reason they are so pissed is because they had state officials sue the NCAA to protect Nico and the university with the deal they did, to argue it was legit. They got him on the premise of money...the opposite of how we recruit here. Why they expected him or his family not to hold them hostage over MORE MONEY when the market dictates the ability to possibly earn more, i do not know. They essential got what they paid for. You can say they got a raw deal... but only they made a CFBP with him as the qb. I'm sure they made more than the 5-7 million he's gotten over the years. Chill... it's Amerikkkan capitalism and the Amerikkkan way... just new characters have the advantages, and the Pilgrims are ready to burn down the town.🤦🏿‍♂️🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤘🏿 What we can be happy about in all of this... Sark ain't going out like Willie Lump Lump..🤣🤣🤘🏿
  2. Quick.. name me a player under Heupul whose been worth a damn in the NFL... especially at a skill position. I'll be in the bathroom... 💩
  3. Thank you!!!!!!!
  4. I'm just wondering is there going to be such "outrage" every time.
  5. Your opinion of Nico and his play didn't line up with Tennessee. They saw fit to be negotiating with him since December to keep him. They obviously thought they were better with him than without. So all that he sucked crap last year.. and Tennessee didn't send him packing when they got the opportunity. So either you're a better OC and Head coach than Huepel and his OC, or you don't actually know wtf you're talking about, just repeating some stats provided to you by others.
  6. Exactly. If we had the ability to review your adolescent decisions... might be a few things folks would say about you. We all deserve a little grace.
  7. If Milwee ever decides to hang em up, you should have your resume ready.... didn't know we had qb coaches in the community. 🤘🏿
  8. Now.. was that more Nico... or what was around Nico. Is it scheme? Did the offense really line up with his talents... or did the 8 milly do the trick? If it was the money.. on both sides, then you get what you pay for... and you know... what he plays for!! He wasnt leaving the sun and diversity of the west coast for good ol fashioned, Bible thumping Vol land for "the love and traditions of college football" and the "opportunity to become a RockyTop legend"...🤣🤣🤣🤦🏿‍♂️
  9. You probably aren't worth what you get paid at your job, but we don't get to go over your work with a fine tooth comb.. and we definitely didn't get a look into who you were at 18, 19 and 20 years old. Of course, you were the bees knees... a model of consistency. 😞🤦🏿‍♂️🤘🏿🫡
  10. The backup was better, I guess, and could've stood back there and did what Nico did... right? This has been going on since December. So Tennessee definitely thought well enough of him to attempt to negotiate since then to try and keep him. What you are ignoring is the economic element in Tennessee. Maybe some of the boosters are hurting with the current "climate" and don't see fit to fork it over. Nebraska, as a state, is looking at a federal bail out in the next 6 months, having deported 70% of their farming workforce. NIL at the university will be affected. It's going to happen all over the country.. just as kids wanting to renegotiate contracts every year if they have the ability to do so. You would.. if you could!
  11. He should be a better qb at this point. He's a 5th year player while Nico really was in his 2nd year starting. Nico qb'd a playoff team.... with not a great system for qb's, or great O line play. Recievers weren't all that hot either. Yeah, the tactics are questionable.. but that's who you signed.. and that's the premise you signed him on, tryna flex like Tennessee was BIG NIL DADDY.... 🤷🏿‍♂️#FAFO
  12. He can't go to a school in conference per SEC rules, right?
  13. This will be the new norm, because college athletes are now getting paid. Quinn was the first to leave high school early and take an NIL deal, and now how many early entries do we have in the spring, that should either be high school juniors or seniors right now? The game has changed. No longer is every kid so in love with the university that they'll turn a blind eye to green money. Plus, we only know what the media is telling us about the situation. There's two sides to every story. Maybe they promised some things that didn't come to fruition. You don't know.
  14. Was is right for Duke to send Malik packing after a 9 win season at Duke, and then pay a kid 8 million for two years to take his spot? When it's the organization making the call, there's no outrage. When it's the player over the organization, you don't hear any push back.
  15. NFL GM's are aware that they will be in such situations. They get out ahead of it early and sign guys to deals before there forced to.. like Jerry was. It's par for the course, you guys just clutch your pearls because it's college football, and this has been nowhere near the norm. Now... you're opinion is he wasn't worthy of what he was able to negotiate, but remove him off that roster... and go thru this season after he lead that team and university to the CFBP.. 🤷🏿‍♂️. They made a lot of money off that 🍑 kicking they took in Columbus. Just saying...🤷🏿‍♂️. This is an example of who and what you believe in coming back to bite you in the 🍑. Capitalism.. at its finest. At least in college football terms.. Amerikkka is finally "great again"... just not for who you're used to it being great for... 🤣🤣🤣🤷🏿‍♂️🤘🏿
  16. I totally understand where you're coming from. The thing is, we aren't privy to the absolutes, only what's being portrayed.. and the establishment always has the ability to speak from a position of power. I know don't see Nico as "that guy"... but where would Tennessee and Heupul be without him?
  17. The price of milk has gone up. I saw Nico taking major hits and coming back to play. They made the cfpb. He's a premium player at a premium position. Crazy how we want a starter out of the portal.. but we kill a kid that might go into the portal. In a capitalism crazed society like America, it's funny to see you guys try to judge whose worthy of getting more money and tryna determine when they should go after it. Think NIL is destroying college football? It's about to get a lot worse. These kids understand the game and how the universities have been getting over on them, and they don't have any brakes when it comes to mashing the gas and getting everything they deserve and then some. When you date a girl and start off tricking...spending money to impress her, don't think a year from now she'll be ok with McDonald's. You gotta keep her living a 5 star life. Get what you pay for!
  18. If he'd committed to Texas and was on the 40, he damn sure wouldn't be on The Pivot before he made any plays. He wouldn't have committed to a coach that excoriated another coach he was jealous of, pointing out that Coach Prime and his players only do it for the "clicks"...and therefore, there would be no need for this post. I would probably be talking about how he was going to explode in this offense with Arch. The only place we may have seen him would've been on 3rd and Longhorn. But.. guess what, he did... and that's why you and I are here. Nice chat...🤘🏿
  19. Typo with observation..my bad
  20. EXACTLY 🔥🔥🔥🔥🤘🏿
  21. I expect him to be great... it's set up for him to be such. But.. what if he goes down in spring ball with a major injury and doesn't see the field in 2025? How will that Pivot appearance sit in the eyes of the same media he was trying to impress? Isaiah Neyor was about to be the NEXT guy here... until he got hurt in the spring. We never saw that guy everyone raved about in the spring. This is the point, amongst others, I'm making. Hard workers don't go do National media when they haven't produced one yard yet. Arch and his family were lauded for doing so. 🤷🏿‍♂️🤘🏿
  22. It wasn't an effort to "wind you up"... that's a you issue. I merely made an observed and kept receipts of Dan Lanning and his disparaging comments about Coach Prime and his coaching strategies. It seems like he's ok with players getting clicks now. Talent over culture... that was the tenor of the post, but you missed it. Reading is fundamental, but common sense isn't very common, either. 🤘🏿
  23. So... you would be OK with Anthony Hill Jr coming in as a freshman and going on a National media tour before he saw one college down, but saying he came here to play football and not for clicks or just what UT could do for him... without providing any returns to the university yet?
  24. We all did... but time reveals all. Everybody here loved Johntay Cook too... and I'm one of the few that still does. I still follow him and encourage him to realize his potential. How many of you still give a damn? It doesn't "trump" anything..honestly. It just says we avoided a wreck instead of cleaning one up. We dated... but after courting for a few months.. we got dumped and found out it was a blessing. Happens...🤘🏿
  25. Yes... and I'll tell you why. This entire team was welcoming...as evident by the number of family members there. He had every reason to choose to be here... he didn't. What he's displaying doesn't line up with anything you've seen from any Longhorn on our roster. Things happen for a reason... like Gerry always says, and I don't think those reasons change, on either side, in less than a year. It's more about who he is and what we are, at this point.
