  1. Love the numbers but I wish he played against better opposition. Iron sharpens iron.
  2. Honest question...how has Muschamps style of defense improved opportunities for the Texas offense?? Imho this defense has spent less time on the field per drive than any i can remember from pks time on the 40. If this offense would quit going 3 and out...even a 6 or 9 play drive, by the 4th quarter most defenses would be gassed. Long season and the more you are able to save starter reps the better off youll be late in the season as they will have more tread on the tires. To make a car analogy rotate tires so no 1 set gets worn out early. Offense and ST need to start carrying their water.
  3. Joe DeCamillis was a special teams coordinator assistant head coach 2x superbowl champion coach...list goes on and on. He is a guy that knows special teams as well as if not better than 95% of any coach college or pro. The 1 year he was here the ST improved significantly and when he left...so dis the improvement. Math can be done from there. While I agree that the buck stops with the HC...there is enough blame to go around on the offensive side of the ball. With that said Sark has made 1 good hire and 1 imho great hire as DCs. Gotta give credit where its due. With that being said I do beleive Sark is loyal to a fault. Banks has no business as a coordinator of any phase of football. Position coach fine, but I dont think his ceiling goes much above that. Same with the oline coach even tho he has the OC tag stuck behind his title. With that being said if anything undoes Sark it will be ego and stubbornness. Not just with coaching but players as well. Players will start looking at the development across the board and the offensive recruita are going to see trends. 2 5* recruit qbs top of their respective class not developed anywhere near capability. Tackles play well, but Guard and Center is another story all together. Due to Oline issues WRs and RBs arent able to put up the numbers that get scouts attention. TEs and RBs are well coached but very limited due to poor play elsewhere.
  4. I was referencing the amount of elite talent in pretty much every program on the 40. Every other team appears to have it figured out while football (specifically Offense) has an embarrassment of riches talent wise yet can not put a decent product on the field.
  5. Sure hope these programs do a better job with elite talent than what Texas Football offense has.
  6. I was thinking more like this with square wheels.
  7. Special Teams has been a train wreck since Analyst Joe DeCamillis left. Banks was never a good choice here. ST even with a bit of Nibblet magic was heavily penalized and disorganized.
  8. Robertson has been well below sub par...doesnt matter what kind of set up duo zone inside outside if 2 things do not happen. A clean snap snd the center can not be in the qbs lap. This screws up the mesh point, pushes inside runs out. If the defense sets the edge penalty or not that play is dead from the get go. If Texas wants to establish the run Robertson needs to be on the pine period. 2nd if Sark had any interest in slowing down lb fills or safety/corner blitz...throw a handful of screens, slow the fill and then maybe you wouldnt have 8 in the box. Another suggestion is roll Arch out. He is obviously having difficulty getting thru his read progression so why not divide that confusion by half. If nothing is there already outside of the tackle box throw the ball away or if its open green get up the field and slide to protect himself....none of this is rocket science. Quit making something simple into an unsolvable equation. Outside of that spread the d out so your offense has a bit more gap to work with.
  9. Lyin Eyes - The Eagles City girls just seem to find out early How to open doors with just a smile A rich old man, and she won't have to worry She'll dress up all in lace, go in style Late at night, a big old house gets lonely I guess every form of refuge has its price And it breaks her heart to think her love is only Given to a man with hands as cold as ice So she tells him she must go out for the evening To comfort an old friend who's feelin' down But he knows where she's goin' as she's leavin' She is headed for the cheatin' side of town You can't hide your lyin' eyes And your smile is a thin disguise I thought by now you'd realize There ain't no way to hide your lyin' eyes On the other side of town, a boy is waiting With fiery eyes and dreams no one could steal She drives on through the night, anticipating 'Cause he makes her feel the way she used to feel She rushes to his arms, they fall together She whispers, "It's only for a while" She swears that soon she'll be comin' back forever She goes away and leaves him with a smile You can't hide your lyin' eyes And your smile is a thin disguise I thought by now you'd realize There ain't no way to hide your lyin' eyes She gets up and pours herself a strong one And stares out at the stars up in the sky Another night, it's gonna be a long one She draws the shade and hangs her head to cry She wonders how it ever got this crazy She thinks about a boy she knew in school Did she get tired, or did she just get lazy? She's so far gone, she feels just like a fool My, oh my, you sure know how to arrange things You set it up so well, so carefully Ain't it funny how your new life didn't change things? You're still the same old girl you used to be You can't hide your lyin' eyes And your smile is a thin disguise I thought by now you'd realize There ain't no way to hide your lyin' eyes There ain't no way to hide your lyin' eyes Honey, you can't hide your lyin' eyes
  10. While the debate of what should have been done in this particular situation noone has mentioned that given the talent and expectations this offense has...should have never been this close to start with. For the multiple 3 and outs, turnovers, etc Texas gave this game to BlowU. They came in unprepared period. Probably the worst performance this season.
  11. Whats worse is the amount of talent that the offense has is being thrown in the garbage. This should have been Sarks most talented offense since he stepped on the 40 and probably within the top 5 hes had as a coach or coordinator....thats flat out embarrassing. Time to start checking egos at the door and start really looking at what the problem is and what needs to be done to fix it. This is the kind of thing that really starts to affect recruiting, team chemistry and confidence...both players and coaches. Hard to trust in something when its been so monumentally bad.
  12. Given the offensive prowess of either team....id say NIL maybe , and the Gators have a first year coach they get a little leniency there because that coach doesnt necessarily have all his players yet. On the other hand Sark has all his guys and the product hasnt looked great or good...maybe mediocre.
  13. While the Defenses get easier the offenses they play are much more dynamic. In all honesty I think that equals out with maybe 2 exceptions. If Texas does not get their act together on offense and special teams...its gonna be a long season.
  14. Agreed a very different scheme. Real question tho. Did the Horns give up a little early on him. This team definitely needs leadership...a trait that CJ was known for.
  15. Honest questions? Is Sarks scheme just to complicated for the college game? Less experienced players, reduced time to learn as Sark has both offensive coordinator and head coaching duties? Does the finesse style Texas plays offense have long enough legs to continually compete in a line of scrimmage conference?? Should there be more emphasis on power running schemes and less window dressing? We are just about to the middle of the season...has this offense regressed over the past 2 seasons? If so...what neess to be done to put the train back on the track?? Is this defense special teams and offense complimentary to each other???
