  1. Obviously, @Jeff Howe has never seen Hoosiers. . . . Great job, Gordon girls.
  2. Dear Desmond Howard, Sit down, son. -Daddy Sark
  3. How many Sark threads do we need?
  4. I think your post is a strong read on the mood of the fanbase, nothing too shocking, but I am not ready to assume Sark is burned out or halfway out the door. He has always worn losses on his sleeve, and he still recruits and coaches like someone fully committed. Where I disagree a little is on the idea that asking Sark to give up play calling somehow negates the reason he was hired. Yes, he has a strong offensive pedigree. So did Ryan Day. So did Nick Saban and Kirby Smart on the defensive side. They eventually delegated some of their identity work because the program reached a stage where doing everything was no longer efficient. Sark was hired to resurrect and redirect the program, rebuild the roster, and prepare Texas for the SEC. He accomplished that. Now we are in Phase Two. The expectation shifts from building the foundation to winning at a high level and sustaining it. If delegating play calling helps us make that jump, then that is not a betrayal of his identity. It is a natural evolution that elite coaches make when the demands of the job change. I still agree with your bigger point. A full reset would be the worst possible outcome. The best path forward is likely for Sark to stay, adapt his approach, evaluate his staff honestly, and adjust the offense to the weekly reality of SEC competition. I don't think yesterday was any special day or inflection point. This season is what it is. How he responds during this offseason will tell us exactly what the next few years of Texas football will look like.
  5. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46974338/nfl-dallas-cowboys-demarvion-overshown-knee-surgery Go get 'em, Agent 0!! 🤘
  6. Desmond Howard to FOX? I'm not saying he's getting fired. Just a mutual parting of ways.
  7. If you find yourself agreeing with The Film Guy, you need to question your life's choices. Mostly kidding. But that guy is an amateur posing as a football geek. I wouldn't put much stock into his analysis. Arch is still developing, to be sure. He misses some throws now and again in a head-scratching fashion. He's also layered a few in there that have been dropped. What is encouraging to me on the Arch front is that he appears to be one of the few guys on offense taking personal accountability for his weaknesses and working to fix them from game to game.
  8. Fairleigh Dickinson hoops coaches don't know nothin'!!
  9. This report specifically says that it is not about that incident. The OP says the same.
  10. I think it was just Tucker, his GM, and 1 assistant coach. "The NCAA handed Tucker, former Michigan State general manager Saeed Khalif and former assistant coach Brandon Jordan show-cause penalties. Tucker was given a three-year order. The NCAA said Tucker "failed to adequately monitor his program." Khalif (six years) and Jordan (five years) were given longer penalties for knowingly providing impermissible recruiting inducements, according to the NCAA. The three cannot work in college athletics until their show-cause orders end."
  11. Meh. The headlines are fun, but these things always take negotiation and settlement. The headline is more dramatic than the reality of the situation.
  12. Gerry, you're not supposed to post the kind of links that get these guys all worked up. I thought you'd learned!!
  13. We do the same thing in our local rec league football (ages K-6th grade). The coaches and commissioners meet up at the field house 30 minutes following the conclusion of the last game. A few years ago we had to break a 5-way tie! 🤪
  14. Good for the kid. Not sure allocating that much to 1 non-QB is going to be the wise move going forward. We shall see.
  15. Sometimes this happens because the person is not in a sober state of mind. An acquaintance of mine ran from the cops last year and shot himself after the chase ended. Nobody can figure out exactly why, but his toxicology report was not clean so it's easy to assume that played a large role.
  16. That is incredible. Thankful to hear how God carried your family through such a dark time and brought healing to Colt. Grateful for answered prayers and for the strength, faith, and perseverance He gave all of you through it.
  17. Yes, hitching is intentional. It is a built-in timing mechanism that quarterbacks are taught from the ground up. Each hitch typically aligns with the rhythm of the passing concept. Some throws are released immediately at the top of the drop, while others are delivered after one or two controlled hitches. For some play calls, each hitch generally represents a progression in the read sequence. The quarterback resets his base and eyes with each hitch to stay in phase with route timing and the defensive coverage shell. When executed correctly, a hitch keeps the quarterback in rhythm and maximizes accuracy, efficient delivery, power, and even decision speed.
  18. I just came here to say this - SCREW VANDERBILT. Carry on.
  19. This. The primary object of today's game was to win: Mission accomplished. No team is perfect. Some have more glaring or frustrating issues than others. This team has solved some of its issues as the season has progressed. Let's see if they can solve a few more.
  20. Whether Arch, Hutson, and Taaffe play or not... Vanderbilt - 6 TEXAS - 34
  21. I am "eyeing" a romantic evening with my wife per report.
  22. What a crap job.
  23. No regrets on either side of that one. Bo is having a lot of fun in the NFL.
