  1. This was well written and mirrors most of my own views, even as to the timing of losing trust in Rick. I add these thoughts: I did not enjoy watching Shaka's teams play almost nightly, and I attended as many as ten games a season during those years. He never instituted the Havoc associated with his coaching style previously. Many here do not realize what was apparent from watching live - that RT allowing his inherited team to run made them better than they were under Beard. RT has had to be in building mode as Beard's once unique reliance on transfers is no longer singular. Everyone does it. I want Texas to win every game. I will want to replace RT when an opportunity comes along for a promising young coach - who doesn't turn out to be Shaka. That experience should be a lesson in the vagaries of coach picking. Meanwhile, we have a coach who is a winner when his players actually play together, which they show some signs of doing. His teams seem to like him and his staff can recruit well, given a bit of NIL support. And I do get the sense that some want Texas to lose games so that RT will be forced out. When he took last year's team to the second round with no NBA prospects on the squad he was still skewered. That is what I find discouraging on these boards.
  2. When does Weaver get back?
  3. Kent missed two front ends now
  4. I agree with Bierce. And I do not put this shooting stretch on the coach.
  5. NC State was not a quad one win?
  6. IS our fave player Weaver hurt?
  7. I enjoy your football comments.
  8. I do not understand the shade thrown on RT.
  9. Kaluma has been careless - reverting to one on several
  10. The Larry attempt to Pyor was nice although broken up
  11. These OU announcers are...OU announcers. But I think they know basketball, despite the bias.
  12. Larry to Shedrick was nice
  13. pope with a Tony Parker runner
  14. Just came back. Fingers crossed...
  15. I am getting an "unexpected error" on my TV feed at SEC+. So please keep up the comments.
  16. PFF is certainly somewhat useful. I suggest that the very high grades of the DBs reflect not merely their individual talent but their communication and teamwork, which we noted nearly all season, gleefully, at times.
  17. Bierce, thanks. I could not get to watch this game [driving folks to airport, waiting]. Sounds like Texas played much more cohesively?
  18. I assume this is a big surprise.
  19. Thanks for the recap. I was hosting out of towners and could not watch.
  20. Helm may have better hands than Warren, judging from this game
  21. PSU should be ahead by a fortune but they are continually shooting themselves in the foot.
