    I think Sark is doing a great job of going after most positions. There just seems to be a disconnect on hs recruiting WR and DT. I'm not going to degrade anyone's efforts, I just dont think he has figured out HOW to recruit these positions. Does it vary on each recruit? Yes! Does it vary on each year? Yes! Problem is, there has been a few years in a row where this has been an issue.

    The issue is that we've observed the recruitment process on the DT portal, and it's clear that we're not offering enough compensation. If we continue to lack DTs both from the portal and high school ranks, we'll face a significant gap in our team. Our strategy needs to be adaptable right now. It seems like Texas is pushing too hard to assert "We are Texas," but the reality is that loyalty from these players will ultimately go to whoever offers them the best deal (or their family). While some players like Colin Simmons have a strong affinity for Texas and prefer to stay close, others may not have such strong ties to a particular school and will prioritize those who demonstrate loyalty to them and their family. In essence, setting a cap on how much a player can earn won't be sustainable each year in the era of NIL (Name, Image, Likeness). The rapid decline of Clemson in their division serves as a cautionary tale for everyone.

    Nick Foles, since he's a superbowl winning qb. But, a young Justin Tucker was on that team as well and he's pretty darn good as well.

    The biggest difference is that Herman was a dick and didn't get along with anyone which is a big part of the job. Something Dark doesn't seem to have this issue.
