  1. Definitely rotational. He has multiple years left. I would have preferred another guard for depth. Somebody always seems to miss a lot of time each year. Mark was playing injured for a long time. Weaver missed a lot of games as well.
  2. That’s what you will find this late. OU and Colorado were the competition. It’s not like Duke was after him. He has a slow shot release from the perimeter too. If he ends up getting more minutes than Codie it means there wasn’t much development over the summer from Codie.
  3. Never seen this many go the other way on Sark.
  4. Transaction recruiting. It’s definitely not like the last few years. The mods have tried to say this without saying it.
  5. Spend five minutes with his father. He has no character issues at all.
  6. Was specifically related to the OPs list. He somehow listed his best players ever. It was the best players at Texas.
  7. Okay I am assuming we are talking four. KD, TJ (Back to back players of the year), DJ and LA. Apologies to PJ, LaSalle, Mays, Mihm, and Turner I am amazed Turner is still not pissed at Barnes for only playing 16 minutes in his last game.
  8. Oh God. It’s Jordan, even if all of them played for Texas.
  9. They will shell out for pretty much every player they want. Going to be interesting to see if it works. They are in the top ten again in basketball. Toppin is back for another year.
  10. It enjoyed watching it yesterday.
  11. If you are talking about contracts, it’s because that has been reported pretty much everywhere. You sign a contract and are paid for your services. How do you get out of a signed contract? I am actually waiting to see what happens once a player tries to break a contract in December. At the very least, the school losing the player has to be compensated. Who pays them back? If it’s the player, what happens if he has blown the money? That would mean Texas (for example), has to pay that school back and then still have to give that player NIL for coming to Texas. It would mean Texas has to pay even more money then they had previously declined to pay to a player. That’s not going to happen.
  12. Everybody wants assurances if they pay money to anyone.
  13. Sark always seems to be ahead of the curve. When I read Bobby’s comments it makes me think he isn’t ahead of the curve anymore. How could any coach be ahead of the curve? House settlement says go this way, some schools say no let’s go this way, athlete says I am not happy, so it’s back to the courts again. Texas is not the only school with this problem. That’s the positive side of things. We wait to see what happens to those who are not following the settlement in the courts.
  14. Likely not paying attention to the settlement at all. It all goes back to determining what a player is worth. What school is qualified to determine that? What clearinghouse is qualified to do that? So it heads back to the courts.
  15. Agree on August 1st. The op was talking about flipping guys at a later date like previous years. If they break the contract then any money spent would likely have to be paid back. Who’s going to pay it back for them? Then Texas would have to at least match that NIL to get their services. If that’s the case, then why don’t they do that now? Texas has stepped into numerous blueblood backyards and is finishing second. They have to replace those guys with players of equal talent, and that’s if any of those guys are left. Then they have to explain why they didn’t prioritize them first. Counting on winning and culture to get them to take less NIL this year won’t work. And it’s because they will have already taken money from the school they chose first. And when a player does decide to do that, college sports is back in the courts again. It’s just a big mess now.
  16. Difference is these guys are most likely signing two year contracts that are front loaded for the first year. Totally different than previous years.
  17. Why did you think that? This will go back to the courts again. The settlement did nothing but create more instability. I never understood why it was mentioned so much.
  18. Bobby doesn’t say what he said today if this was the case. I am quite certain he has heard something (frustration). It’s extremely frustrating to put in all the work you can to get a kid, and then somebody comes in at the last minute and essentially eliminates you with money. You think roll with us or get rolled over works with Alabama, Georgia and now Florida? When a recruit is not even picking up the phone anymore it’s concerning, especially when that player has been picking up the phone regularly. It’s a kind way to say stop calling me, it’s over.
  19. He was projected from the third to sixth. Philadelphia, Charlotte, Utah and Washington. He has to start somewhere.
  20. Guys most teams in the lottery are bad teams.
  21. Charlotte, Utah, Washington are all bad. I wanted to see him at the fourth pick, but LaMelo Ball is there. Who wants to play with him?
