  1. It’s a projection based on gate receipts, staff costs, travel costs, etc. And now that revenue sharing is in the mix it will even be tougher for even the marginal revenue sports to be profitable. Nothing sexist about it.
  2. “NCAA not making available the schools where softball programs are profitable” What does this even mean? My point remains you seem to know enough to play the sexism card while not knowing the economics of the sport you’re criticizing. That seems rather incongruent to me.
  3. You need the NCAA to get ticket prices? Yet you know enough to claim sexism. Gotcha
  4. I will agree that our softball team is a unicorn in college softball. But UT sports are that way in general. Austin is the largest market without a pro sports team. If we chose to add men’s and women’s lacrosse they’d have the best gates in collegiate lacrosse. How many D1 softball programs are there? How many would you consider profitable? How many have a similar gate yield as baseball?
  5. Assuming production is halted and distribution is highly limited that card could be really valuable if one of those guys becomes a star.
  6. It isn't sexism to see ratings, attendance and admissions to come to the conclusion that profits won't happen for the foreseeable future. You can say the same for many men's sports.
  7. Judas did us a favor. Neither kid panned out.
  8. Tausch was actually a TE recruit in 77, got an injury redshirt so he still had 4 years in 78-81. Tremendous player.
  9. I know, Comer was a great one. Awful injury. Back then 6’3” 230 was prototype NFL tight end. Hell, he was bigger than most of our OL those days!
  10. I don’t think it’s sexism to assess profitability. Lots of things go into that. Lots of men’s sports at the collegiate level don’t make a profit.
  11. Gotcha, because you directly responded to that play against arky. But you were actually discussing a play that occurred dearly a year before.
  12. Crashed into who, Street? That didn’t happen either. Peschal? Who could that have happened?
  13. You do know Street threw into bracket coverage on that play.
  14. Tough to get recognized if you’re not an employee, and today’s NIL gives them every incentive not to be.
