    Manning's mobility will add explosives in two ways. As said above, he'll run for a few, if his play last year was an indication. However, I think more impact will come from him being to scramble to extend plays, allowing receivers to break open downfield. This was probably the biggest deficiency in Quinn's game.

    Never understood booing players for their play on the field. They are doing the best they can and they are what the coaches believe to be our best option. Do those booing think they could go out there and do better? Now for kneeling or other poor behavior, booing may be appropriate, but not for their play.

    Will Nansen still be with us next year? I’d think he’d be a prime DC candidate.

    Maybe his strategy is to get a year of two on-field experience at ou and then portal to a championship-level team. Try to get the best of both worlds.

    Ryan Williams to the portal is the biggest shock of the portal season to me. Why would he leave what seems to be a good situation for him and one he has thrived in. Hopefully he'd like to come play with his HS QB, although he'll likely be gone to the NFL before Lacey becomes the starter.

    I realized after the game that I had never heard his name mentioned. He apparently blanketed whoever he was covering so they never threw his way.

    If PK doesn't win the Broyles award, they should stop giving it out.

    I live in S. Carolina and I can tell you that here, everyone wants Texas to lose. They all think atm is a joke, but they DO NOT want Texas to come in and win the SEC our first year. It's like a whole conference of Nebraskas.

    One of my daughters visited atm when she was considering colleges - we lived in Houston and several of her friends were going there so she wanted to check it out. They were doing construction on the stadium at the time and the view of the scoreboard was blocked from the dogs' graves, so they had a fish (freshman corps member) stand by the graves with a white board that they'd write the score on. When they explained that to my daughter she said "Uh, no" and she and my wife immediately left.

    Since the other two Outland finalists are DL’s, Banks has in effect been declared the best offensive lineman in the country!

    This may be the ultimate example of Arch hysteria: On a chyron on Game Day giving Heisman odds, Arch was 16-1 and Quinn was 18-1.

    Collin Simmons gets what i think is our first sack of the season!

    If a player is forced out of bounds by a defensive player and he reestablishes himself back in bounds (essentially, takes a couple of steps in bounds), he becomes eligible again. If he goes OOB on his own, this does not apply and he remains ineligible.
