  1. Blue, Wisner, and Gibson all more likely to be back next season than not (Blue would really have to go off this final home stretch to increase his draft stock). Baxter added back into the mix at some point in the offseason. Same with Clark but would assume he’s going to need next year as a developmental year so probably doesn’t get included in the count for game ready bodies. Simon and Stewart coming in as early enrollees. Don’t think bringing in an RB1 caliber player would be on the list of offseason priorities especially with the price tag someone like Gordon would command.
  2. Thoughts? As a basketball guy I am choosing to believe this is regarding Aaliyah Chavez and can’t convince me otherwise
  3. As someone who is currently at work 2 miles from Conroe High, I’m intrigued by the potential extra stop
  4. Starting 5 absolutely stacked with Rori, Phelia, Book, A-Mo, and Jones. Will be interesting to see how the bench plays out. Holle will get her lion’s share as the 6th man at the 2 and 3 with Lee getting spot minutes here and there. Curious to find out if Preston gets thrown into the fire when Rori needs a break/gets in foul trouble or if they choose to develop her and let Book run the show in those minutes like last season. Also let’s see if Carlton gets Muhammad’s minutes at the 4 or if Mwenentanda developed enough over the offseason to steal some rotation minutes. Oldacre will obviously be the backup 5 but hopefully Boutillier is healthy and can get some garbage time action.
  5. The thought of a Harmon, Booker, and Aaliyah Chavez Big 3 in 2025 has me grinning from ear to ear. Man we gotta hold off Mulkey to get Aaliyah.
  6. So at the moment we’re looking at a lineup of: C- Galvan, 1B- Borba, 2B- Mendoza, SS- Flores, 3B- Rodriguez, OF- Belyeu, OF- Winfield, OF- Gasparino, DH- Schuessler?
  7. Big Alcaraz fan but torn because an American hasn’t won a Grand Slam since Roddick at the 2003 US Open so wouldn’t mind seeing Paul breakthrough
  8. 53rd in the live rankings now
  9. It’s 3:37 am and can’t sleep due to having no AC from the storm so just up picturing a Chavez, Lee, Booker, Carlton, Oldacre starting 5 with Preston, Crump, and Boutillier off the bench. All those girls except the 2 bigs can grab and go off the rebound so would be such a fun team to watch. So much length and skill and versatility. I’ll be crushed if we don’t get Chavez.
  10. I don’t like the fit for him. Luka and Kyrie take turns playing high pick and roll and try to hunt favorable matchups. Klay is just going to be relegated to standing in the opposite corner to space the floor. I think if he had gone to the Lakers then Redick would’ve used him as a key part of the offense since he himself was a shooter that loved to come off screens.
  11. Please don’t tell me we’re losing Belyeu to A&M…
  12. Lakers fan here. LeBron has a player option and could theoretically leave if he wants. Lakers had 55th pick and with only 58 picks in this year’s draft that means only 3 picks were made after them. If drafting Bronny helped seal LeBron retiring in a Lakers jersey then I don’t have a huge problem with it. Highly unlikely that the guys the Lakers would want as undrafted free agents were selected in the last 3 picks so not a huge difference between drafting him at 55 and waiting to sign him as an undrafted free agent.
  13. The girded loins are really starting to pay off
