  1. One tricky thing about this is you have to remember that it’s not just seeding the bracket. It’s based on the rankings. In the last rankings, SMU was 8, Indiana 9, and Clemson 17 with three losses. I’m not sure how they’d finagle the rankings to move Clemson up or Indiana down that much.
  2. I think this is probably right except I don’t see why Penn St would jump us based on yesterday. They kept it closeish against Oregon and actually outgained them but they never led and never really looked like they could win.
  3. I think Az State gets the 4. I’d be surprised if they jump Clemson over Indiana because Indiana’s 9 and Clemson 17. 10. Indiana 11. SMU (over Bama probably because it was so close but who knows) 12. Clemson Agree we’re probably 5/6 which means either Clemson or SMU (or Bama). Sadly we don’t get to whip Indiana.
  4. TBD. SMU can’t get blown out. Committee will put Bama instead.
  5. I strongly doubt this.
  6. You’d rather play Bama then Boise? I’d prefer Clemson then Az State.
  7. I agree. Probably. I posted in another thread that I think this would mean playing Clemson then Az State. But 1. Penn st could make an argument if it’s super close 2. The committee would have to go against the tradition of always dropping a two loss team behind a one loss (Notre Dame). But they said they wouldn’t penalize teams for a championship game loss, and two losses to Ga is way better than ND’s to N Illinois. 3. You never know with committees.
  8. Assuming current games hold- If we’re 6th seed my guess is Alabama then Boise. Georgia’s side of the bracket. SMU isn’t getting in over Bama if they lose like this. If 5th Clemson then Az State. Oregon’s side. Will we stay in front of Penn St and Notre Dame? Doubt we would fall below Ohio St. Who’s ready for a home game against Clemson or Alabama!
  9. Between this and the “butthurt” post, @Gerry Hamiltonis on a tear tonight. I like it!
  10. I love the stray random resigned voices of reason mixed in the madness. I almost feel bad for them. But I don’t.
  11. NIL is one thing but this calendar is so messed up. Imagine having the draft between the end of the regular season and wild card weekend then the next week free agency opens. Makes no sense
  12. Better him than Charles. Good luck to him. We’ll never forget those eight special days.
  13. Not something I would usually suggest, but there are plenty of open forums on Texags, and today they’re full of cope, delusions, and tears.
  14. No apologies necessary. I fully agree with @CJ Vogeland your sentiments!
  15. You mean it’s possible to do something other than mumble “what happened” with a befuddled look on your face? Huh
  16. This might be the dumbest thing I’ve ever read. How great is it not to be in the big 12?
  17. Interesting. Also Texas has barely trailed. By my math only about 68 minutes of game time, most of which was Georgia. Otherwise Vanderbilt and OU both scored first and held the lead for about 4 minutes each. That’s all the team has trailed all season. Pretty dominant.
  18. Dude’s wearing icy whites in his pfp and has @texasfootball in his bio. Relax
  19. Gunnar Helm was announced as a finalist for the Mackey award.
  20. Whoa hey. Let’s not be calling anyone a farmer this week.
  21. The game hasn’t been played since my 11 year old daughter has been alive, but now I’ve finally had to try to explain Aggie to her. It went like this. “What’s an Aggie?” “It’s an agricultural school, so it’s shortened to Aggie” “So is their mascot a farmer?” “You’d think that but no. It’s a dog.” “Why?” “They just got a dog at some point. Also they dress up like they’re in the military and the dog has the highest rank and when the dog dies they bury it facing the scoreboard.” “What?!? Stop with the dumb jokes.” Had to show her Wikipedia and she still wasn’t fully convinced Aggie lore is real.
  22. According to Anwar, Quinn has a mild ankle sprain and “will be good to go.”
