  1. Last year RBs stuff was popping, this year just straining, so that’s an improvement I guess.
  2. Rumors of hernia confirmed by OTF. Not the injury. Just the rumors. Got it
  3. I know were all hoping for 3, but here’s how likely I think each is. 1. 30% 2. 50% 3. 20% Not trying to be negative, I just think multiple somewhat unlikely things have to happen to really turn things around.
  4. Yeah pretty much this in the short term. May not be popular and likely lowers the ceiling for the season but the team could go 7-5 or something playing like they have
  5. They’re having trouble executing some basic techniques. The idea that they’ve got a bunch of amazing complex plays is cope. Jeff said it well. They need to figure out what they do well and maximize that and let go of some things they’re not good at.
  6. I just decided on 45-7.
  7. Bobby - 1 Namecallers - 0
  8. I was a little afraid to click the link for this tread. Thought I might end up chained in a basement forced to watch Arch miss easy passes on a loop until my eyes bleed
  9. I’m still baffled by Arch’s inaccuracy on easy throws yesterday. Would be shocking for any 3rd year 5 star but even moreso one with his last name. Question is this were there any signs of this in his starts last year? I don’t remember noticing errant throws like that, but I haven’t gone back and looked. Maybe one of you could do a breakdown this week? Would love to know if this is an ongoing issue or first road start jitters or something. Thanks for considering!
  10. Hopefully this is a fluke not a trend. The running game was one of the bright spots yesterday. With Baxter ahead of schedule and the OL looking solid this could be a great running team. A good PA attack would really complement that. Would be unfortunate if Arch isn’t good at it
  11. Two bizarre things that I’ll remember from this game - Arch’s big misses on easy throws and the stagnant vanilla unSark-like offense. The defense, run game, and punter were good enough to overcome one but not both. All of a sudden the Florida game is critical.
  12. Was just going to write basically this. I’m a little less harsh on Gilbeau. Sometimes the other guy makes a play. I’ll add some positives- Endries looked good. Baxter looked healthy. With him Wisner and the OL, this could end up being a really good running team. No injuries that I know of.
  13. Huge review here. Game’s over if it’s not reversed
  14. Jeff every post of yours seems to cause something terrible to happen.
  15. Starting to think the defense needs to score for us to win
  16. We have the better punter
  17. It’s a little early for this I think
  18. I’m as optimistic as I can be without having seen either team play yet this year. 24-14 Texas.
  19. Saying all the right things. Anyone else ready for Ohio St?!?
  20. Adding a third. Things can change in a heartbeat. I don’t want to speak it into existence, but Sark could leave for the NFL or any number of other bad things could happen to set the program back. Strike while the iron is hot applies.
  21. I understand what you’re saying. Yes, Texas will still be Texas after Arch, and Sark is putting together a monster that will be elite for the foreseeable future. But I think the all in mindset is really two things. 1. People think Arch has the potential to be a generational player. Guys that level like Young, Newton, Burrow, etc. win Nattys, and it’s smart to do everything to support them to do so. 2. If he is that level of player and Texas doesn’t go all in and win it all, that becomes a negative recruiting tool. With NIL that stuff may not matter as much as it used to, but it’s still a thing. Also beyond recruiting I’m sure the staff doesn’t want to be labeled “couldn’t win it even with Arch”.
