  1. Glad to see Kelly leave OSU I feel like that definitely favors us early with a new qb in a new system.
  2. y’all that first rounder in 29 AMD max Christie. Clutch city right here. Mavs playing chess Lakers playing checkers. In breaking news Dirk also traded in this deal along with championship. Genejus!!
  3. I just know you’d never betray Danny for Enrique, ever!
  4. Aww you know @Joe Zura just loves his Danny boy more lol
  5. They can’t count, it’s the 12th man syndrome
  6. It is part of the shoulder but it really depends where the bone was broken how comfortable he’s going to feel throwing or swinging especially because he is left handed.
  7. Haha oh wow definitely a different perspective! Peter Gardere was my QB in 1-3rd grade. Yeah J. Heard was a gamer and winner too bad we couldn’t utilize his athletic ability at QB more. Another hot take is that if we had stuck with the zone read offense in 2010 Garret Gilbert would’ve stayreyat Texas and won at least one conference championship and we might have had a shot to win a natty.
  8. This is a perfect offseason to bring you in too since we’re rebuilt our o-line and I know you’re gonna be laser focused on Theo development and growth going into the season. I’m very optimistic that we’ll reload especially with Baker and Goosby likely taking over the tackle spots. I’m curious what your take is on Umeozulu and if he’s ready to step in and bring that physicality to the LG spot we need to have a power run game? I think he’s nasty with a mean streak! Also, how do you think we’ll fair replacing Jake Majors at C?!
  9. Nope, sorry I really respect your takes Clint. I have to say in this instance you’re off. He didn’t have it. He was a miss even when he was healthy he was slow processing and made poor decisions. To me he’s a poor man’s Hudson Card. My hot take is that if we had stuck with Jerrod Heard we would’ve been better off as a program and not spiraled the way we did with all the crap QBs we dealt with until Sammy came along.
  10. @Jeff Howe couldn’t be more thrilled you’ve joined OTF!! I’m a rabid fan of yours (Matt and Rod too lol) since I first discovered the Blitz in 2012!! Love your takes and excited to read and hear what you know about our beloved longhorns!!
  11. Or, two years in a row that we were that close to playing in the national championship game. Versus 13 years straight since we were even in the game. It’s called perspective. What is your requirement for a contract extension or a raise? Please enlighten me with what you consider “earning the yacht”?! More perspective for you, the two national championship teams this year got to the game transfer quarterbacks who had been starters for their previous teams for multiple seasons. Even more perspective, both teams in the national championship didn’t lose their entire backfield, WR corps, and TE from the season before. Last bit of perspective, Ryan Day earned an extension in May 2022 and still hasn’t beaten Michigan 2019 and 2 CFP appearances and 0 national titles Do you see how perspective helps us better define success and build a team capable of winning a championship?

  13. I’ll cite the offensive output of the last 2 seasons specifically: ~36 point per game, ~450 yards per game, 1000 yards rushers from first year starting running backs, and a 25-5 overall record along with 2 college football playoff appearances in back to back seasons. Just because we haven’t won the national championship, yet, doesn’t mean Sark is just collecting a paycheck and not delivering. The players, the culture, the player DEVELOPMENT, the coaching consistency, and the WINS are all directly connected to Sark.
  14. Not much doubt in my mind that Texas would’ve beaten the Irish convincingly tonight had we pulled that game out 10Jan25. If nothing else we did a phenomenal job containing the juggernaut that tOSU’s offense became during the playoffs?! It’s funny to me hearing the announcers talk about how tOSU rolled through all these elite defenses, but actually they only rolled through 3. Their defense out played our defense, but their offense was average against us at best. Let’s run it back next year, I hope our defense is even more focused and driven to dominate like we did this year and our offense is inspired to play consistent complimentary football. To be fair to ND it would’ve been uglier probably with our disappearing act our offense plays, but ultimately the result and spread would’ve been about the same IMO. HOOK’EM!
  15. OU, Arkansas, ATM: 3-0 all double digit wins all on the road (or neutral). The Texas DEFENSE! Jahdae Barron having a dominant season winning the Thrope, Silas Bolden fumble recovery, Gunnar Helm, Quinn and Arch, 4& freakin 13, Matthew Golden, Tre Wisner, the Texas DEFENSE (again), Alfred Collins, Vernon Broughton, Clemson and ATM goal line stand, basically everything except the first UGA game, Burt Auburn’s misses, and the last 30 seconds of the 2nd quarter and 2 mins of the 4th quarter against tOSU. Great season, incredible team, sad we lost, even more saddened we didn’t get one last game with this incredible group of young men!! Hook’em 🐂🤘🐂🤘
  16. We’ll get to see him holding against us rather than for us. I was really hoping things would click for him here, but unfortunately just didn’t. Hope he has a good season and the Aggies have a bad year next year lol.
  17. Hey hey now ATM machines were in there 3 times. 2 times of you don’t count our game with them same as Clemson and SMU 😂😂😂. This is clearly Texas and the national media bias against ATM machines success
  18. Boneheaded reaction for sure!! What was with that?!?! At first I thought he was celebrating because he forced a fumble and thought the Texans recovered.
  19. Haha we’ll have to agree to disagree! I loved it when he would chime in. I thought he did a good job breaking down complex stats and how they apply to the games. I also really like his herring takes.
  20. Yes!! We need him, Matty B, and Rod to revive the Blitz OTF style y’all!! Let’s do this!
