I was mainly focused on them using this as any type of persecution of Christians no matter what denomination. It is an insult to any faith that is actually experiencing persecution in the world. At least it’s easy for him to make the argument with all the quality data he has! He’s not just out there trying to drum up support for a mediocre schedule. He has legitimate points that could have long lasting implications on college football. Imagine if basketball did the same format? It would be a mess too and you’d get zero quality games early in the season like a Texas UVA or Kentucky Duke. Instead you’d have a bunch of sacrificial lambs until conference play happened and no real idea how good teams actually are for the viewer or more importantly the players themselves.

Not so much, I think Stein is a good coach and him going to UK as a UL grad is treacherous, I’m fully aware that Coach Royal went to OU. I don’t want UK to be good at football because it’s just another team we have to worry about (even though we struggled against them this year) that makes our schedule that much more difficult. More importantly it’s a light hearted comment about a school that generally doesn’t concern Texas or concern themselves with football
