Quinn is a great QB but he’s not elite when he needs to be as @Gerry Hamilton noted about VY and other “clutch” QBs. Chris Simms was the same way as Quinn IMO. Great QB, but when we needed him most he failed to ride to the occasion more often than not. There were some dropped passes yes. But look at the back to back throws to wingo the last drive in regulation. The first was a PI but wingo was OPEN and if the ball was thrown on time and accurately it was a touchdown. Instead it was badly under thrown. Still resulted in PI and good field position. The next play Wingo beats 6 again and Quinn throws high and doesn’t even give Wingo a chance to make a play on the ball. The fade to Moore was a horribly located ball, heck even the stalk block and go wheel route in the first quarter where they called offensive PI was a bad over throw to a wide open Gunnar Helm. There were some fantastic throws in there too, but over all in the red zone we’ve needed more from Quinn in the games we’ve lost that matter most. But, he has done it at times against good opponents and hopefully he will rise to the occasion in the playoffs. If he can tighten up those really tight window throws he’ll take the next step. Right now it’s not there.
