  1. Florida seems like a train wreck right now and probably didn’t want to leave ND and try and rebuild a program in the toughest conference in the country. Why would he consider Texas and not Florida? If we spiral and Sark gets fired it’ll be a dumpster fire 🔥 here worse than Florida IMO.
  2. Heck yes!! Go QE, get it done son!!
  3. Is KJ Lacey James Street in this situation? Don’t sleep on Arch he’s tough and smart. I truly believe this will make him the best version of himself and grow into the player we know he can be. I’m inclined to believe this is more similar to Vince Young. Remember he couldn’t throw and we struggled to develop offensively in 2003 and 2004 early, but after almost losing at Kansas we didn’t lose another game when he was the starter. Realistically, it’ll continue to be a roller coaster this year since our schedule is WAY tougher than Vince’s was in 2004, but fear not Arch is not a bust. He’s a young player learning his way as a starter and as a leader.
  4. I hope for their sake Vandy wins the SEC this year.
  5. I understand, and don’t feel attacked at all. I would argue that it is okay selection in addition too all the other things noted. Mainly because we’re not looking at the things other teams don’t do well, i.e. Kentucky is bottom of the SEC in rushing defense and pass defense, but we chose to try and attack their pass defense without first establishing a run game which would inflow the pass rush and create better match ups downfield. I heard a stat that we only had 6 rushes the first half. That’s not a recipe for success. Heck even if we’re going three and out running the ball at least the clock is moving and we were going three and out any way. It’s all frustrating because we have seen what we can do when we play up to our potential. Heck we focused on establishing a running game against osu and OU and they have the best defenses in the country. Why not lean on that against bad defenses?
  6. 100% we’ve seen what they can do when they play complimentary smart football. We smoke OU by 17 and in the second half it didn’t even feel that close. Hopefully we can get Baxter back and the run in game can elevate. I’d actually love to see Niblett get more involved almost as a poor man’s Jaydon Blue. Would also like to see us feature the talent we have at the right end position. Play some up tempo ball and run right at people. Let’s see if they can hold up.
  7. Hopefully we can continue to get better in all phases. The next two games are tough but winnable. Georgia…that’s a scary one.
  8. It’s frustrating to hear stuff like we’ve got to do a better job getting him easy completions…from the play caller. Earth to Sark, call plays that do that. It’s like we’re not scouting teams on offense and attacking weaknesses it looks like we just go out and gameplan after the game has started. He fact arch hasn’t gotten hurt is still astounding to me and a testament to his toughness. It’s almost criminal to do that to him.
  9. For sure! Buckle up and enjoy the ride! We’ve at least got talent to work and grow with!!
  10. Did we…did we play offense tonight?! Interesting fact we had 332 and 306 yards against 2 of the top defenses in the country (OSU and BLOWU) and 340 and 179 against 2 of the worst in power four (Florida and Kentucky). That screams to me MATURITY. We get up for big games against big teams, but when we should show up and handle business we walk into the game looking entitled, unprepared, unfocused, out of synch, lifeless, and apathetic. I really didn’t like Wingo’s body language tonight on a couple of throws specifically the throw early on across the middle that was wide open (Arch HAS to connect on these it’s killing us multiple time this year see osu in the 4th quarter), the third and long ball that was behind but he got his hands on, and the throw in OT. Wingo doesn’t seem to attack the ball but more expects it to be thrown to him perfectly. Then at times when it is…it’s inexplicably dropped. His blocking on a couple of the outside runs especially one on third down with Archis really bad for a player that is so physically gifted. He also isn’t fighting for PI calls. Even the one last night he body language was passive rather than aggressively attacking the ball. IDK there is a lot on offense overall that we laymen can see, the most glaring in lack of intensity and physicality in the run game from the line. @Gerry Hamilton get ready I think you’re picking MSU next weekend because Texas just got out physical’d on offense badly tonight. Defense brought it…HARD so did special teams, so that tells me it’s a mentality and attitude within the offense not the team as a whole.
  11. I think losing Coach Choice is a big one too. He was such a great coach and an energizer bunny on the sideline.
  12. 4 times tonight and zero recoveries. 2 on d and 2 on punts
  13. It’s a fair point. We don’t have any more blue basketball teams on the schedule thankfully so maybe now we can focus on playing football and moving the ball offensively. Heck at this point let’s just try to even out the TOP.
  14. Amen, I’d rather an ugly win rather than a pretty loss right now!!!
  15. Nor should he! Let’s be honest and please stop all this QB change BS. This kid may not have played well tonight from a statistical perspective, but he didn’t turn the ball over and really didn’t put the ball in harm’s way even with all that pressure. All night long…AGAIN. That alone gave us a chance to at least make UK beat us straight up, which in the end they couldn’t do. I’m not sure another QB in the country would fare a whole lot better given what Arch has in an o line in front of him. That said he was off tonight and missed some easy throws to Wingo and Endries that would have extended drives and or put us in a position to score. That can get better, but only if Ardh is out there and continues to prove to everyone just how strong and tough he is. Look at that kid at the end of the game his arms and neck and tell me he doesn’t give you the best chance to win right now at Texas!!!
  16. True, would also help if he had any protection in front of him at all.
  17. Agree!! That dude was beat UP tonight and still battled all the way through and thankfully we were able to come out with the win. It’s a roller coaster but it is for everyone right now. This is a week to week league. Arkansas took the Aggies to within 3 tonight and scored 42 points. All we can do is keep working and getting better and focus on winning the games in front of us any way we can.
  18. We have to find an offensive line that can protect our QB. We definitely missed Hutson today. Was really hoping for a better performance from Robertson. Hey the DEFENSE showed up big time. We do need some work falling on a fumble apparently lol. Hook’em!
  19. They know the Arkansas game will be over by 6 anyway they’ll move that one to the ocho lol
  20. The way college football is going you have to schedule out of conference games with out power 4 conferences. Going to the NFL model means playing serious competition every week and losses mean less than they have previously. It’ll be a tougher schedule but ultimately better product and for development IMHO. Unlike the NFL hopefully the travel and home rosters can expand to accommodate for injuries and keeping players healthier overall.
  21. @Gerry Hamilton and I have that in common! My wife has turned me into a bravophile, and honestly I’m not mad about it hahaha
  22. Haha and all mayo, corndog, Aggie, and chik-fil-a related questions go to @Gerry Hamilton Amirite @Joe Zura. All meme related response questions also go to @Joe Zura
  23. For sure and hopefully see Nick Brooks take another positive development step!
  24. Would love to see them start strong both halves even if it just looks like really committing to establishing a strong line of scrimmage! Loved the corrections the line made to eliminate the penalties and start being able to okay balanced ball and actually get off the ball in the running game!
