  1. Lol. Ask yourself that question. Reading comprehension is not your strong suit. You said it hadn’t happened before Nico. You are/were wrong. I’m suggesting it’s a new NIL world and a new norm is evolving. Evolving. It’s evolving. Be smarter skippy.
  2. These are the only two instances of what? Of an athlete of wanting more NIL money?
  3. You need to use google or something. He only wanted to transfer because he wasn’t getting the $100k he was promised. By preserving another year of eligibility he has opportunity to earn more money as it is very unlikely he will get paid in the NFL. Could be similar reason Nico wants more money now; does he project to make more money in the NFL? Im not hyper focused on anything. Stop projecting. The NIL is creating an evolving new norm right in front of your eyes when in comes to college athletics. You’re welcome to live in denial if you’d like. Athletes putting themselves ahead of their team happens frequently . This isn’t something new that was created by NIL. Pay attention more.
  4. Are you referring to the uNLv QB? If so, you’re leaving out a big part that was/is NIL related. Unlike Nico, who appears to have been asking for more NIL money; Sluka did not receive what he was promised by one of his coaches. And because he didn’t receive promised NIL funds, he decided to save a year of his eligibilty (to have another year of being able to earn NIL).
  5. I agree with much of what you write. You lose me with the kkk thing. But appreciate the rest. NIL is a form of professional model. It’s not an amateuristic model. Long past due imo. There is waaaay too much money in college athletics; so much so that the cost of a college education as form of payment is no longer commensurate with how much is generated for the schools by the athletes. Just my opinion.
  6. I hope not. Every young man has the right to do what he thinks is best for he and his family. You and I don’t have to agree with their decision or the method to their decision. This is the NIL world now.
  7. I’m referring to you saying he is the first to do it. He isn’t. And I don’t think he will be anywhere near being the last.
  8. Good Lord this thread is wack. A player should be able to determine was is best for them; (just like a head coach does when they bounce from one job to another). The school and coaching staff should be able to determine what is best for their program. Fans should be able to have an opinion on a players requests/actions and have an opinion on how the school reacts to said requests/demands. For those that didn’t realize or are willing to accept NIL changed college football forever need to sign off the interwebs for a while.
  9. UNLV last season
  10. You’re right. Not bash. Just hoping for a kid to fail. That makes it better.
  11. Cmon man. I’m not taking up for anyone. And you know that. Go back and read carefully. Rooting for a kid to fail is the choice you should be questioning. Do better.
  12. Cuz I’m not as tough guy as you and not able to bash a kid online. Salutes to you.
  13. Just don’t mess with the migas…
  14. Why? He kick your dog or something?
