    He's a 1/2-step to step late on defense and reaches. Not as bad as Tre, but Tre hasn't been in college five years, either. Shedrick also has been good for a foul in the first minute or two of a half, no matter what. I like the guy, I really do. He's just the weakest link on a team that can't really afford to have one.

    Dillon Mitchell with perhaps his best game as a college player. He had 18 and 15 with five steals and a block. Six turnovers, but who really cares?

    I’m perfectly fine with him but I don’t think he’d get to 7 mil or 8 mil.

    If the right guy is Brad Stevens or Nate Oats or Bruce Pearl, well, that'll be money not spent. If no one else is right, it could be anyone.

    I'm cool with your list but now it's a matter of whether any of them would be interested, compared to Royal. Wade apparently would but there's a question if Texas would be interested in him. There's a real chance that Ivey would be the last man standing among that group.

    The point of these NBA hires is that alums are coming back. BYU, Utah, Florida State.

    Hope so.

    And ultimately that is why he was let go. Anyone else could hire him -- he didn't screw up there. But if he screwed up again at UT, the people who kept him on would pay a price, and they didn't feel like paying it.
