  1. He has Neal Brown on staff. Not sure what he’s doing though.
  2. Great article Jeff! I don’t expect a clean performance this weekend, but I’m hoping to see notable improvement across the board especially with penalties.
  3. I really hope he gets some good snaps this weekend.
  4. Damn. At this point in the season, that can’t be good.
  5. There has also been an increase in NFL viewership. It would be very interesting to see how revenue sharing would work. There would certainly have to be tiers or something similar. There is a significant discrepancy in viewership between Texas and Texas St. There can’t be an NFL style equal sharing arrangement. So what is required to provide stability to other sports and schools with fewer viewers. Would we accept a 10% increase in revenue while Tech makes 12% for stability purposes?
  6. I believe the NFL divides its media revenue evenly between teams.
  7. Wouldn’t this require an act of congress? Is there any momentum in congress to do anything or is this all moot?
  8. Thanks Jeff. I appreciate the thorough and frank analysis.
  9. This is the correct answer.
  10. - Penn State beat Nevada 46-11 last Saturday. That score has never happened before at the FBS level. Is this what you’re researching when you’re on mute? 😂 This is a baseball-like stat.
  11. That’s NFL level. There’s a reason the big schools should get paid more.
  12. As reported by 247: A previous version of the story included a charge for possession of a controlled substance — as stated in the original story, the charge was rejected by prosecutors, which means the only official charge Mack has been levied with is the DWI. Possession is fairly easy to prove so the DA dropping this charge is interesting. Also that’s two DWI/DUI charges this year involving marijuana possession. Depending on the amount carried, this could have been a felony. This could have devastating consequences. Need to be smarter.
  13. No doubt, but optics matter.
  14. Sub headline from SI: The Texas Longhorns have some off-the-field issues to deal with before their home opener. Not a narrative we want.
  15. Many of these kids have a chance to make more money than most of us will ever see in our lifetimes. And that’s just in college, never mind the NFL. In most cases the only thing that stands between their success and failure is themselves. Hope he realizes this and learns from this experience.
  16. Tech #2 for facilities is surprising.
  17. This baffles me. Arch looked really bad in the first half. Why is our QB whisperer OC/HC waiting until halftime to talk to his star player?
  18. A) He’s a douchebag B) he’s not wrong C) Maybe he should be more worried about his team’s rush defense.
  19. This surprised me as well. If I recall, the pony package created a lot of explosive plays last year.
  20. I thought Justus Terry was out there as well.
  21. Yeah, I wouldn’t do that on the two. Not enough space. The OL was getting push but OSU stuffed us on 4th down because they sold out to stop the run in the middle. They knew it was coming. We all did.
  22. Arch was definitely underwhelming, but play calling, especially in the red zone, was predictable and vanilla. I found myself missing Greg Davis. At least the bubble screen would have been a change.
