Agree. IMO, there’s no reason to be offended by any pre-season rankings. They’re fun to debate but the season will prove out and reality of performance is all that matters. I actually like that some of our key players and positions groups are getting overlooked (eg WR, TE, RB) going into the season. Time will tell but think this team is special and could achieve more than past 2 seasons, getting all the way to NC. Time will tell. 🧡🐂🤘🏼

Agree Paul. I’m buying a lot of stock pre-season on undervalued Longhorn WR /TE. Also, love hearing what’s being said about Tre Wisner for his commitment this spring to ‘take the bull by the horns’, put on some additional healthy muscle while also improving speed training. Perhaps all of Tre’s work this offseason can improve Tre from 4.7 ypc to 5.5 or 6 ypc and his total rushing/receiving yards could grow from 1375 total yards to 1600+ yds. Given what we’ve heard from Sark this week in interviews, he plans to be ultra careful this season with Baxter. I’m betting CJ isn’t at full stride till Nov then we’ll have a crazy 1-2 punch of Tre and CJ with additional support from Clark, Niblett, Baby Rhino, etc. Hook em! 🧡🤘🏼🐂

We were traveling all day yesterday, so not sure if this video was already posted. I didn’t see it on OTF. Thinking every player being recruited by Texas and their parents needs (yes, I’m sending this to the Crowell family with love 🧡) to watch this entire interview between Sark and several Longhorn greats. Between academics, team GpA up 3.31, Forbes tabbed UT as Ivy League of the South, true NIL earning potential (beyond the initial contract), long-term career opportunities in Austin after the NFL, player development, culture, NFL stock, winning championships, offensive scheme, creating his own legacy, playing with Manning, Lacey and Bell at QB, having Sark as your HC and OC, living in Austin, etc. So many reasons why UT, Austin and this coaching staff under Sark is the place for elite talent to be. Sark’s ability to tell ‘his story’ in a way that is authentic and inspiring plus the way he represents why Texas is Great, is second to none. No other coach in college is a better leader for their football team and ambassador for their university, imo, than coach Sark. Ps, yes my kool-aid is burnt orange and tasting good. 😂🤣🧡🐂🤘🏼

Yep, agree 3 seems more likely at WR. Will be interesting to see if we’re able to keep Finley from going Irish and whether Bishop ends up playing at WR or secondary as primary position. Both groups are loaded but WR room is incredibly stacked with youth and talent. There’s 7-8 legitimate NFl prospects on our current roster (Mosley, Moore, Wingo, Livingstone, Ffrench, Locket, Terry and McCutcheon). Our Wide Reveiver room is starting to resemble the loaded rooms from the early 2000s with BJ, Sloan and Roy followed by Pittman, Sweed, Cosby and Shipley. It’s awesome how strong, deep and young our WR room is. Pretty cool we’ve had 2 longhorn receivers drafted in first round in past 2 years and 4 WRs drafted overall then look at all the talented WRs ready to elevate over the next several years/ Hook em!! 🧡🤘🏼🐂

Feels like we’re gonna be around 20 commits be end of July if things unfold the way they’re trending currently. That would be way ahead of where we were last year at the same time. @Gerry Hamilton and @Bobby Burton, I know you get this question multiple times weekly but if we take 5-6 OL and 4 -5 DL plus 2-3 Edges and 4-6 in the secondary plus 2-3 LBs, 3-4 WRs, 1 TE plus our #1 QB in the country and the 3 special teams players, it seems like this year’s class will be trending into the upper 20s (26-28). Is that likely or will Texas find a way to stay closer 23-25 total? Apologies if you’ve Clariden this recently, we’re on 2-week family vacation across Europe so I’m not keeping up as much right now. Things sound ultra promising for the Horns to land the #1 DL out of Florida for second straight year as Kendall Guervil has set his announcement date for July 2nd and he’s telling reporters across the SEC that Texas is his top choice currently. This addition to the DL would be f’ing massive if Guervil ends up choosing the Horns over Georgia, Florida and Florida State. Realize things can always change in this era of NIL but my guess is that KG is one of Gerry’s HI’s. Nice interview with 247’s Georgia beat writer, Benjamin Wolk and some very encouraging quotes in the Horns favor: "Georgia is definitely No. 2 right now," he told Dawgs247's Benjamin Wolk. Our incoming freshman class is really strong. She recorded 15 shutouts in 23 starts, including a no-hitter and two perfect games. Wells also batted .602 with 75 RBI and a state single-season record 31 home runs, bringing her career total to a state-record 86 long balls. She mashed 48 extra-base hits in 108 at-bats, slugging 1.639 to post an OPS of 2.287 and an isolated power percentage of 1.037.

Thanks for posting. I hope the wild Wild West crap that’s been going on the past few years and is only getting worse quickly transitions to something more contractually consistent with stiff penalties that motivate fair play by universities and boosters. This isn’t sustainable.

These are crazy times when recruiting can flip on a dime. Gonna be fascinating to watch all of this unfold, not only in short-term, but paying super premium for unproven incoming recruits, how does culture evolve or crumble? A small part of me says ‘hats off’ to A&M for finding right mix of messaging (ie. multiple 7-figures NIl guaranteed over next several years combined with message around playing time early) that resonated with Edwards enough to cause him to cancel OV. That’s some closing mindset. The bigger part of me (maybe old school and naive) says Sark has a proven track record of building an elite team, recruiting the right way for the long term. A&M has built top classes in the past only to have 75% of the recruits defect within 2 years. I trust Sark will continually evaluate if he needs to adjust his approach (timing of NIL offers, approach to valuation by player, etc) without sacrificing culture or longterm. We missed on KJ which sucks but I look forward to seeing where things land in the end. Our team is loaded for 2025 and 2026!! Hook em!! 🧡🐂🤘🏼

I had never heard of the directors cup prior to CDC elevating our Longhorns to new levels across the full landscape of sports. Now, it’s fun to follow. Congrats to the Horns!! Awesome accomplishment!
