    This is going to be a contrast of two different roster building styles. Dabo has been very open about he doesn’t like the portal. I haven’t researched whether he has any portal guys or not but I would bet it is not many. Sark has embraced everything that is available to him including the portal. You look at our portal guys on this years team, they’re difference makers. We wouldn’t be where we are at right now without the portal guys on our team. Two different ways of doing things. We’ll see how it goes.

    I know I am beating a dead horse here, but those two fade pass down in the red zone just baffled me. It’s almost like Sark was just happy with a field goal. There has to be something else better to call there with the game on the line. It reminds me of the plays we ran against Washington in the playoffs last year at the end of the game. I am not claiming to be a player caller, but I’d like the most high percentage play on the sheet. Those throws are very low percentage throws. If I’m going to lose I want it to be firing my best bullet at them. Sark’s motto has been All Gas No Brakes. That’s great and fun and looks good on a T-shirt but alot of times we don’t see it on the field.

    I think Quinn is what Quinn is. He’s better than most QB’s in college football. He’s not going to change in the next two weeks or the rest of the season…..however long that may be. He’s a good QB, but not an elite guy. He’s going to get balls batted down, he’s going to get sacked some, he may throw a pick or two nonchalantly throwing it to a receiver. He’s not all of a sudden start being mobile during the next two weeks when the pass rush comes. We’ll see stunts and delayed blitz packages the rest of the way. Sark needs to hone the play calling to help with it. Quinn is who he is going to be.

    I think (don’t know for sure) we were about to get Saban, but Texas was never going to fire Mack and I think it pissed him off when he thought they were courting Saban so he stayed and Saban’s agent worked a huge contract extension at Bama and the rest is history. I thought Mack could have retired on his own and they give him some job in the athletic department where he could PR kiss babies, shake hands, pat backs. I don’t know exactly but he stayed around. He was 30-21 after the Championship game where Colt got hurt. They said after that championship game Mack changed. He started blaming assistant coaches more, alot less recruiting……just kinda shut it down.

    Sad day. Mack should have retired. He stays too long like he did at Texas.

    We all question Sark from time to time but man just look how far we have come since 2010. That’s a lot of years of frustration and mediocre football. Mack shut it down, Charlie Strong 🤷‍♂️, Tom Herman………man it makes you appreciate where we are now. We’re getting there.

    It seems like he rushes 8 or 9 but they’re never going after it. If you aren’t going to go after it then set up a return. Seems like there were times the last couple of years that they brought the house and would get to some of them or at least effect the punter. I’m not a special teams expert and he is so I’ll trust his judgment.
