    My Dad got me interested in L’amour books as a young kid. He had everyone of them. He built bookshelves just to hold his L’amour books. He said when you open the page of a L’amour book you can smell the gunpowder and horse chips 😃😃. Lots of good western writers out there. The Johnstone’s, Elmer Kelton is really good.

    Man I hope 1,000% I am wrong, but Sark’s success has been under Saban and Pete Carroll that had WAY better rosters than everyone else AND they ran everything from the top. Saban made every decision while he was at Bama or he blessed off on every single thing. Sark wasn’t a head coach long enough for us to know how he would be with the top job. We do know he’s a good recruiter. But we don’t know how he is as a manager or a player caller when stuff’s not working and you have to adjust. I think I know how this ends but dang I’m tired of getting coaches that can’t take us to the top. He’s made us better but I mean make us like a Georgia or a Saban Alabama. They ought to money whip Saban to come in and be General Manager/Assistant to the Head Coach or some title and let him run it. He doesn’t want to stay on College Game Day forever. We are paying so much money now…….Go big or go home.

    One thing about going with KJ is at that point I don’t think there will be any going back and run Arch back in there. That’s usually why coaches take so long to change, because it breaks any confidence the starter had left. I’m not saying don’t do it, but I’m just saying if you do the Arch era is probably over. He’s not going to all of a sudden watch and come back in dialed in. I think Arch is better than he has shown but most of his games here we’ve ran out a subpar offensive line and he’s getting hit so much. It has a rattling effect. We should have addressed the offensive line better in the portal (I thought we did but obviously not). And you can’t tell me that one the way to attack Texas was made public, Sark couldn’t have figured out how to beat it. It’s not like he has to wonder what the defense is going to do……THEY ARE GOING TO DO THE SAME FREAKING THING ALL THE OTHER ONES HAVE DONE. Until you stop/burn it that’s what we’ll see

    Yes a rotation of all of them. Even Spence can get after the QB. We have options for sure. I noticed Wesley is a high energy, fired up guy. Even walking into the stadium the guy is jacked even then. He’s going to be a good player.

    Vasek has gotten some push at times. He may could get more snaps.

    You know even in our wins we haven’t played well on offense. In spurts yea, but not enough to create an identity. A quarter here and a quarter there but overall it’s regressing bad. I doubt anything can be done about it this year. We aren’t magically going to figure it out in a week of practice. We’re going to lose several more games so everyone needs to prepare for it. CDC is going to have a choice to make here shortly. Let Sark hire an offensive coordinator or cut ties and start over

    If there is anyone on the bench that is better than what we have on the field and we’re bringing them along slow because they are young or whatever other talking point coaches use…….it is time to get them on the field. Our best 11 need to play. That means our best offensive lineman need to play. We have watched this long enough and hear promises of we are close and we had a great week of practice.

    I saw him say he isn’t coming back but yeah I’d make a phone call for the heck of it and then start it search. I wonder about this Will Stein guy. He’s built a good roster in one year through the portal.

    We’ll be damn luck to make 8-4. They’ll quit if they drop another and we don’t have the coaching to fire them up

    That’s the thing there is no sure thing out of the people you can get. People come to Texas because they are going to have the resources to win a championship. Cignetti already did that with IU and he’s paid up now. Maybe be in the small group that have won it with two separate teams? IDK. You can’t get the top guys and then you are taking a chance of not being any better with the second tier group.

    It’s over Jeff. I hate to be negative but I’m a realist. I don’t think he can fix all the mess that we have. I don’t know who the best hire would be but CDC needs to start thinking about it. You just aren’t a good week of practice away from fixing this. I don’t know how long this will drag out, but I’ve seen this movie and know how it ends.

    Well folks the experiment didn’t work. It’s over. I always said if you can’t get Saban you get someone that came up under him. We tried, but it just didn’t work. I don’t know who’s next but we are going to have to find out. This was a very embarrassing day for the university.

    I think this is the beginning of the end of Sark. He made us better but we aren’t going to be able to take the next step

    This looks like last week. The other team is fired up and our players walking around like they are at a funeral

    To many guys for Florida coming free without being touched and our lineman take the wrong guy

    No and I get he is trying to stop the run but they need some hits on him
