    Man that was a good press conference. Sean Miller actually gives us a chance to get to the top half of college basketball. That’s all you can ask for.

    I think they will sneak in when the committee looks at the overall picture. Yes I want them to get in. We know they’re not going to win the tournament but when healthy and rested they can give teams trouble. Wins as many as they can and then get a new staff in here and start building something.

    I really don’t want a pro guy. I want someone that is proven in today’s landscape of college basketball. As I say whenever we get a coaching vacancy in other sports…….i want a high level recruiter. Talent evaluator to be able to pull dawgs from the portal. I kinda like a guy that has a little bit of hardass in him. This helps to get your team to come out and play high level defense. We’ll see what CDC likes.

    I’d put a feeler out on Jay Wright, Oats, and Pearl and I’d pay it but CDC may have other ideas Then my next feelers would be Golden from Florida and Otzelberger from Iowa St. I don’t know who after that.

    I’d pay that. Oats is one of the top guys out there IMO. If we can get him or Bruce Pearl we need to do it.

    Yeah I don’t see them paying $10M for a basketball coach. It’s going to be interesting to see what CDC does.

    It’s shows what a national brand Texas is. Every school in the country is working on getting better and trying to win games but every single one of them have one eye peeled on what Texas is doing…..in every sport. You’re right, once that picture in the jumpsuit came out it was over. Most places would have kept him, but CDC didn’t want the negative publicity that was going to go with keeping him.
