  1. Barryn Sorrell made it at #79 hit 19.4 mph during a game bench pressed 425 pounds squatted 575 pounds powered cleaned 355 pounds consistently register 20 mph on the catapult system https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5668892/2024/08/06/college-football-freaks-list-2024-bruce-feldman/
  2. Cole Cubelic had a couple of quotes from Sark on this from a radio interview that I'm going to paraphrase. Sark's first year as an NFL offensive coordinator calling plays for a QB 12 years older than him told him "I don't need all the extra just give me the play." pretty much giving a QB too much extra info. Sark gave an example of him relaying info, "It might be outside zone with certain backs in the game and just remind him stay off the tackle's outside hip or if that safety goes 2 feet left then watch for the corner to crash." Cubelic after talking to Sark about this said, he realized there are going to be some coordinators that are probably going to be overconfident with being able to load some guys up with info on what they see when it matters more on teaching them to see the same things they do, and coaches like Sark, Lane, and Petrino who had NFL experience calling plays have the leg up just giving the right amount of info.
  3. The Edge room looks impressive based on the weight they've put on, Sorrell at 260, Burke at 260, Vasek at 260, Zina at 260, Colin and Trey at 245 even Akana is starting to put weight on at 220 now
  4. Yep, half of that was in the 2nd quarter mostly from Sawchuk. Arizona had issues setting and containing the edge that allowed Sawchuk to bounce outside to break off bigger runs, and Jackson Arnold also had some of the bigger chunk runs along with him. Here's how our 2 transfers fared against the run, not including Arnold's runs for this. When Savea was on the field, OU ran for 62 yards which was from that 1 big play. (ball didn't go in his direction, so not much he could do there) When Norton was in, they ran for 33 yards When Norton and Savea were on the field together, OU ran for 28 yards When neither were on the field, OU ran for 40 yards
  5. Got 2 games of Bill Norton snaps against common opponents Texas faced last season, it's really easy to notice what his strengths and weaknesses are.
  6. For those who like to couch scout and evaluate to form their own opinions, I will do Alfred against Bama, OU, and maybe a 4th team at some point as well.
