  1. 2025 Mater Dei WR Marcus Harris has committed to Oklahoma following an official visit this weekend. Harris and Texas started off strong for the 2025 cycle, however Texas essentially told him to save the trip for an OV as the Longhorns progressed elsewhere with other WR targets. Should be encouraging to Texas fans that the Longhorns have all of their top 4-5 wide receivers on the board available in this cycle.
  2. I was told it sounds like a Michigan and Texas battle for Marco Jones from this weekend.
  3. Texas EDGE commit Lance Jackson is headed back home following his official visit this weekend. Jackson remains completely locked in to his verbal commitment after spending time with Steve Sarkisian, Kenny Baker and Pete Kwiatkowski on the trip. Zina Umeozulu was the host this weekend and Jackson was among the group of prospects at Victory Lap last evening for the boxing matches. There are no future trips planned for Jackson, again, he is happy with his commitment and had high remarks for his time in Austin. “It was everything I was looking for.” Jackson added he is up to 6-foot-6 and 270 pounds, but plans to trim down a bit this summer ahead of his senior season.
  4. Wynn was cheffing it up on campus, the staff made sure he had a chance to whip up some meals and get a *taste* for what Texas has to offer.
  5. Jones and his parents were treated to Terry Black’s BBQ this morning before heading to the airport. Nice little send off right there.
  6. There was a conversation about playing baseball at Texas this weekend as well. Jones said it’s not a deal breaker, but more so an added bonus if it was in the conversation at the next level. He is headed up to Irvine tomorrow for a Perfect Game tournament.
  7. 2025 San Ramon Valley (CA) EDGE Marco Jones says Texas gave him a lot to think about in regards to his decision coming up. Jones has a decision date set for July 2 and will take one more OV to USC. Texas is recruiting him as an off-ball LB that can spin down to rush off the edge. Jones mentioned the city and campus were really big takeaways on the trip, and also mentioned the California ties the Texas staff have help their case for his recruitment.
  8. Thats the biggest question. With where Texas is sitting for other WR right now, I do wonder if he’s high enough on the board to be taken.
  9. DayIan mentioned Texas recruiting him consistently, but did not mention where they listed him on the priority chart.
  10. 2025 Lovejoy WR Daylan McCutcheon departs Austin for home after his official visit to Texas. Was hosted by WR DeAndre Moore on the trip. Heads to Florida State next week, the school presumed to be the favorite at the moment. McCutcheon said he had a blast on campus, especially for the Tank Davis boxing match last night with the team.
  11. Texas and USC battle moving forward. Castro said he will compare the two OV’s and make a final decision from there. Texas set a high bar this weekend during his time on campus.
  12. ✌️ for those keeping track
  13. 2025 Jasper TE Kiotti Armstrong has shut things down and committed to Texas A&M. The talented tight end was on campus in College Station this weekend and the Aggies did enough to earn his commitment. Armstrong was scheduled to visit Texas for an official visit the week of June 21–23, though that trip remains uncertain at the moment. Texas still has Emaree Winston in the fold, and will host him and Nick Townsend next week for an OV as well.
  14. Next year with tOSU is expected to be a blast.
  15. This sounds like a bad idea on paper.
  16. I believe so, yes.
  17. Yes. Errrrbody!
  18. This is one you would love to see on a weekend official visit. Until that is locked in, it is worth questioning where Texas sits for the talented CB.
  19. I think Gerry nailed it. Playing TE is an acquired taste for anyone who has not grown up playing the position. We saw it take JT Sanders a full season before the staff trusted him at the position and even then he was not 100% bought into the every play duties of living in the trenches. Not saying that will be the case for Terry, he is a great football player. But Townsend is actively in the trenches and doing the tight end dirty work every play already.
