    I would bet right now Ellis is the top 27 WR on the board in-state for Texas. Think Tre Moore is close to the top as well.

    Ellis was dealing with a slight hamstring strain so no running or working out today. He moved from Arkansas to Texas when he was 11 and says he’d like to still visit that area again but doesn’t have any emotional ties to any specific area for the most part. Feels like a truly national recruitment will eventually emerge if it’s not already at that point.

    Ellis holds 35 offers currently. He has plans to see Nebraska on June 4-5 and says Ohio State and Oregon have talked about getting him back up to campus for visits.

    27 WR Antayvious Ellis says Texas is at the top of his list currently. Called Texas WRU with its recent WR development and has been growing a very strong relationship with. Chris Jackson.

    27 OL Alexander Herrera tells me he’s got a few visits lined for June: June 6 — Texas June 8 — Texas Tech June 10 — TCU Herrera will attend the camp in Austin, but won’t be able to participate in on-field drills after undergoing a small knee procedure this spring. Nothing torn fortunately.

    If I wasn’t just at the dentist this morning I absolutely would be hitting that spot. I love me some good onion rings, I hate that Jake’s in Allen went under. A big hot dog and onion rings was awesome back in the day.

    On the schedule for today: Crowley High 2027 WR Antayvious Ellis – Texas offered last May. He visited April 26. 2027 OL Alexander Herrera – 11 offers. Visited Texas March 29. Mansfield Lake Ridge 2026 Felix Ojo McKinney Boyd spring game We will see what we find.

    Good note. Brown mentioned speaking with Kyle Flood as his only contact at Texas in the past. Positive note for the Longhorns.

    This is also a make or break year for Brian Kelly. If he fails to make a CFP .. again .. then I really wonder what type of job security he will have in Baton Rouge moving forward.

    It's been reported elsewhere that LSU and Texas A&M have been the frontrunners in this recruitment. But I agree, until he gets to campus, not much there to get hopes up for.
