One thing I’ve been feeling with arch recently is he needs to see the guy open. In other words, there isn’t much anticipation. And he relies on his rocket of an arm to fit the ball in. Then the problems come because by the time he sees it, so does the db, and he has to either throw a tough ball to catch to avoid an int, or we get all the turn-downs we’ve been seeing, and every problem comes downhill from there. Thoughts? Is that sort of thing fixable? If so, who is that on primarily?

Part of the student section thing was a change made by CDC with the intention of making sure the student section was all in on the game. The people who stand in line are more likely to be in DKR rowdy for 4 quarters. It started shortly after I graduated, but we used to have a huge problem of students getting in and leaving drunk and hungry at halftime. you’re never going to have a perfect formula with the student section, but this at least ensures DKR is a fearsome place to play 🤘

I honestly think option 2 is way more likely. Baker at RT, Siani LT which is where he’s played prior to coming to Texas. Doubt they roll out a relatively unknown commodity over a 5th year player with as many snaps as Hutson has

This is… exactly my point? I’m not complaining or angry. Just saying we’ve been given enough information to deduce where this thing sits for days/weeks now. Saying we expect him to commit to Indiana the morning of his announcement just felt unnecessary just like saying you expect X guy to commit to Texas the day of. OTF used to be really great about giving just enough info to let you know what they think about recruitments as they progressed. It was tactful and a breath of fresh air. Last few recruitments have been feeling different with either posts like these or outright “good news coming today” on the YouTube channel, etc. just my opinion, not attacking anyone like many in this thread seem to think 🙂

You’re right when it comes to any recruits we miss on. Those we pull, well those were more than just NIL. Simple!

Something tells me Daniel Cruz has not developed in the way we had hoped. Whether he stays or goes, my bet is we see plenty of experience at that position next season.
