  1. Good afternoon, I came across this article today and thought it's a good read for Texas fans and Sam Ehlinger fans. He continues to make Texas proud with his character, example and leadership. https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5972475/2024/12/10/colts-anthony-richardson-sam-ehlinger-friendship/
  2. If it's not heavily influenced by Vegas I think Ohio State 38-13
  3. Thanks, CJ. It seems like Kenny Baker was a tremendous replacement for Bo Davis!
  4. Good morning Any insight on how Trey Owens did in his redshirt year in practice, film prep etc.? Texas QBs have missed time consistently for years leading to backups like Arch, Murphy, Thompson, Card, Ehlinger, Buechele etc all getting put into game action off the bench. Owens looked great in the Spring game and seems like a great kid and culture guy. I know there's quite some time before we get to next season but what would the confidence level be in Trey if he was forced to step in at some point next year? Do you feel he'd be comparable to where Malik Murphy was in his starts for Texas in the 2023 season?
  5. The diversity of the defense is going to be so fluid. PK must come from the bill belichick school of defense. Hogs up front with unique specialists everywhere to show so many incredible looks it has people seeing ghosts. PK makes inexperienced QBs look silly. Also makes the looks arch has gotten entering year 3 that much more educational. Texas football is truly awesome guys.
  6. Gives Arch a much needed emotional and vocal leader to learn on with a lot leaving the team. Awesome to have you back Michael!
  7. I think he'd be a tremendous asset to sarks staff.
  8. I'll always ride or die in this Texas dirt.. Quinn came home. I'd rather him die on the shield with us. I'm a nobody, Quinns a multi millionaire but I think we all have to slow down and pray for Quinn..if he ever reads this I hope he knows his fourth and thirteen brought hope, inspiration and authenticity to a program that was in need of it. I'll always love Quinn and I wish he didn't have an expiration date because I do think he's a national championship caliber QB. He will see will Howard hoist a trophy or Riley Leonard when Quinn is better than both. Quinn has a great peace within himself that will allow his talent to flourish in high velocity situations..I'm always gonna ride with 3. Thank you, Quinn.
  9. OTF, don't you think Rod Babers would be a phenomenal hire as a coach or analyst at Texas? I would hate for him to go anywhere else. A huge thanks to Bobby, Coach Shipley, Rod, Gerry (the goat), CJ, Blake, Erin, Coach Ewrin, Stevie, Tony,. Hall of Fame team here at OTF.
  10. I would defer. I don't think will Howard has played a defense as good as Texas including Michigan. Put the pressure on the lesser quarterback on the favored team. Stick with your bread and butter to come out fierce defensively. Even if they score, Quinn has answered the bell better than getting out ahead and finishing a game. Take the momentum and then finish them in the second half opening possession where will has to rely on his pass game to catch back up down multiple scores.
  11. Both have elite heat. Lance is quite a baseball player although maybe not quite at Jonah's level.
  12. Happy New Year CJ. Thanks for all you do.
  13. Perhaps vintage Freshman year Jake Smith comes out of the woodwork for a Willis Reed game... just kidding but I'd be sick. I thought that kid was going to be a good one.
  14. Ollie Gordon... some could argue hes been a completely different player since the Texas game. Surely the offseason DUI didn't help but he went from a potential first round pick to a guy who may be better served staying in school one more year.
  15. I think Clemson would be favored though I could be wrong
  16. Wisner is listed twice with 32 and 37. I'm thinking one of those listings is supposed to be Blue?
  17. He was by far their best player and a guy that looked like Bryan Bresee 2.0. Constant push and penetration. Great size and explosiveness.
  18. Breaking News: Bobby Burton has entered the transfer portal and is being courted as Tennessees next Head Coach.
  19. I'm so glad I missed on Blue. "You're my boy Blue!" Great performance for a kid thats really had a tough year but showed his express talent in a playoff game, Thank you for the appreciation. I hope we're all celebrating tonight, this has been such a turnaround under Sark and a tremendous honor to watch this team play.
  20. Nancy, I hope you enjoyed the game and I'm praying for you as is all of Longhorn Nation and the On Texas Football Family. Get well soon.
  21. I'm in agreement with you on that one. I'll be disgusted if I see the yellow flags fly every big offensive play for Texas or on touchdowns. Too much referee intervention in today's game, especially at the pro level but everywhere to be honest.
  22. Yes I'm into conspiracies and I don't think these entertainment companies want blowouts every game where people tune out. They pay a lot for the rights to broadcast the games and want to maximize revenue. Perhaps I'm crazy but the refs always seem to be unkind to Texas in big games. See Big 12 title vs Oklahoma with Kyler Murray and SEC title game vs Georgia. Hoping they let today be a fairly played game.
  23. South Carolina got off to a slow start but I felt as the season went on they were playing just about as good of football as anybody.
