  1. This is so stupid it's not even worth considering. The SEC and B1G are not going to replace the NCAA because they don't want to deal with the headache of being sued every other day.
  2. Interesting. Adam Silver said today the NBA is considering getting rid of the Ignite. He sights NIL as a big reason why, but the real reason is that the players that have graduated from it are complete dog ****.
  3. The player has to want to improve as well. Hunter doesn't have the desire to be great. Same problem with Jalen Green with Houston. Top 1% in NBA athleticism, but no desire to be a great basketball player.
  4. I will say it until I am blue in the face, but Ron Holland made a really bad decision. He could have been a one year star here, and eventually taken over the offense in place of Hunter. Shooting 24% BTA in the GLeague is not doing a lot for his draft stock. He's playing in a glorified AAU league which has not had a lot of success of one and dones getting drafted into the NBA. I guess he has a shot to rebuild his stock this weekend.
  5. Plonksy had little to do with women's athletics becoming a juggernaunt. Once her ability to make bad hires was taken away, Del Conte started hiring great coaches.
  6. After their loss last night, aggy needs to move to the very least last 4 in, if not 1st 4 out.
  7. He will be good for 3 or 4 games until his reckless style of play leaves him injured. While, getting Denbrock is a major coup, Riley is not Daniels and Notre Dame has no where close to the skill talent that LSU has enjoyed the last 2 seasons.
  8. I see 3 really good teams in Texas, Georgia, and Ole Miss. A couple of teams that the jury will be out on in LSU (lost everything on offense) and FSU (can they recover from last year). The rest of the "ranked" teams on their schedule are laughable inclusions at this point in time.
  9. Wait, Brown plays HS football in Florida, but his 7x7 team is based in California, did I read that correctly? Damn, 7x7 going to ruin youth football like AAU has ruined youth basketball.
  10. Right now, we'd be matched up against TCU again in the 2nd round of the Big 12 tournament.
  11. Give me the #10 seed over the 8/9 every day of the week.
  12. I like the idea of having a true NBA talent at the wing position, even for a season. This team is really missing a guy like Rice, since Horton is just bad. Johnson, Weaver, Scott, and Johnson will form a really good rotation at the guard and wing spots, room for one more lead guard if Johnson isn't ready, and by the limited minutes he's had so far in the Big 12 play, he isn't ready.
  13. Their OL is trash, they don't have consistently at the QB position, and lost their most valuable weapon on offense.
  14. Not strange at all. You get a demotion you change jobs.
  15. If his brother was a 5-star, this kid should 100% a 5-star as well. In 2026, the Texas defense will feature him as a sophomore and Collins as a junior. Good luck to the rest of the SEC.
  16. Hunter and Mitchell were the worst decisions Terry made. Those guys just suck possessions away from the offense.
  17. Just as long as you are ok with your star player raping a teammate's underage sister.
  18. Yeah, players are stupid because they are going to be hit with a large tax bill. Ivies don't have athletic scholarships, so it affects them less.
  19. If only he could be a 38+ BTA shooter to help punish teams for doubling Abmas. Though the pick and pop with Disu works as well. It's crazy that Horton is such a bad play right now because he's still a legit 3 point threat at 38.2% on the season.
  20. Day as learned nothing from Herman rated classes.
  21. Sampson is a great coach, but he still hasn't figured this out. I think he spends to much time on defense and defensive rotations that he forgets that you need to score points. The fact he routinely has a horrible team FT shooting percentage really does boggle the mind.
  22. Heather Dinich made a good point this morning about the SEC and B1G commissioners meeting. She said it that the commissioners don't really have the appetite to move away from the NCAA on a lot of key issues because of the amount of litigation currently facing the NCAA. They like the fact that there is that buffer, and even if the SEC and B1G broke away to start a new football only division, the litigation would follow.
  23. I mean there is no easy stretch in the Big 12. This team could easily be 7-2 or 2-7. The only game they had no chance of winning was Tech at home. Terry finally figured out that Weaver needed to play more than Cunningham and that decision came 2 conference losses to late. Now the next person to see his PT limited is going to have to be Hunter. He just kills the team with silly TOs. We switch Hunter with Love and this team is likely a Top 10 team in the country and no worse than 3 losses in conference play. Iowa State is a must win game because they are 1-3 at home in the Big 12. 4-5 in conference but have the most conference road wins as well. I hoping for 5-0 at home and steal a road game to get to 10-8. That should get them to the 6 seed line easily. Win a couple more in the conference tournament move up even further. Every game in the Big 12 tournament might be Quad 1.
  24. I imagine that they would deal with a lot of the AD stuff and be in charge of both HS and college scouting to see if players could fit into the systems on offense and defense. That way the coaching staff has a narrowed list of 100 or so prospects instead of over 1000. He probably also fosters the relationships between Sarkisian and the HS coaches, compliance, and NIL. There are lots of things he can be in charge of.
