  1. With two outs and a runner on second, Jaxon Willits is retired on a ground ball to first base. Borba steps on the bag and the OU threat is wiped out.
  2. The call is upheld. Johnson is out. The Sooners ran themselves into an out, just like the first inning last night.
  3. Johnson might get lucky here by getting his hand under Becerra's glove.
  4. Wow. What a throw by Tinney to nail Johnson at third base on a double steal. They'll review it, but that was a helluva play by Tinney.
  5. Camden Johnson with a one-out ground-rule double to left. Pack gave chase, but it kept slicing and landed fair just inside the left-field line.
  6. Three pitches into the game and Harrison gets Trey Gambill to line one to Doza. It's a 4-3 putout for the first out of the game.
  7. Pretty cool that they're bringing back the Comets' name.
  8. The wind is blowing in pretty stiffly from the north. Home runs and extra-base hits will be earned tonight.
  9. I don't know what they'd have to pay him, but I wish they'd let Ray Benson do the National Anthem every game!
  10. Yesterday was Ruger's mom's birthday. He gifted her the game ball and the lineup card after the game:
  11. If you're looking for something that gives hope of Swain returning to Texas, he wasn't listed on this CBS Sports mock draft, which was published Friday.
  12. A mock draft from USA Today, which was published before Thursday's Sweet 16 loss to Purdue, had Swain mocked 24th overall to the Denver Nuggets. Here's the analysis: "After transferring from Xavier to Texas during the offseason and then leading his team to the Sweet 16, Dailyn Swain has become one of the more intriguing breakout players in college basketball. The All-SEC forward is versatile and contributes a little bit of everything for the Longhorns on both sides of the ball, scoring well both in the paint and on fastbreaks. Another element that is notably compelling is that Swain is efficient one-on-one in isolation against his defenders."
  13. ICYMI, Jordan Pope scored 12 points on 4-for-10 shooting (4-for-9 on 3-pointers), grabbed two rebounds and recorded one assist in 33 minutes of Thursday's 79-77 loss to Purdue on a broken foot. This is Pope after the game talking about playing through the injury:
  14. After Thursday's 14-0, run-rule victory in seven innings, the Longhorns go for the series win against the Sooners tonight. The game is on the SEC Network with the first pitch set for 7 p.m.
