Picot goes down swinging. Volantis has four Ks through three and has kept the Spartans off the scoreboard. -
It's a RISP situation with two outs for Picot. Some high-stress pitches for Volantis in the second and now in the third.

Borba saves Becerra from a throwing error with a nice pick at first base to get Seymour. Spartans have a runner on second with one out and Broski up.

McKay leads off the second with a base hit, the fifth for the Spartans against Volantis today (granted, three of those were infield singles).

The inning ends with Mendoza grounding out to short. Pikur faces the minimum in the Texas second.

That's not ideal. Pack lines out to second and Becerra is doubled off. Two down quickly with Mendoza bringing the top of the order back up for Texas.

Becerra gets hit in the left shoulder with a 2-1 pitch. The leadoff man is on for the Longhorns, who bring Pack to the plate.

It's a scoreless second for the Spartans, who recorded three hits against Volantis, but left the bases loaded.

The call has been overturned. Rice is safe. Michigan State has the bases loaded with two outs.

We've got a review on a bang-bang play at first base. Rice tried to bunt his way on with two outs and runners on first and third. The call on the field was at Volantis got him for the out.

After Van Ameyde strikes out looking, Murphy takes the first pitch he sees from Volantis to left for a single.

Deckinga's high chopper allows him to reach base on an infield single. Tough play for Mendoza, who couldn't get it to first in time for the out.

With RISP and two outs, Larson flies out to center to end the inning. Two runs on two hits with two left on for the Longhorns in the bottom of the first.

Michigan State, for some reason, played the shift against Borba in a double-play situation. His 6-3 groundout gets Rodriguez home to make it a 2-0 game.

Jonah works a walk. Mendoza comes home to make it a 1-0 lead for the Longhorns. Casey Borba is up with the bases still loaded and one out.

Tinney draws a four-pitch walk. The bases are loaded with one out for Jonah Williams.

It's RISP with one out for Tinney, who I don't think is going to get anything remotely close to hit.

Rodriguez with an uncontested steal of second base as Robbins strikes out.

Full-count, Mendoza goes and Rodriguez smacks one by Seymour at first base. It's first and third with no outs for Robbins.
