  1. Utermark draws a walk. The count started with three consecutive balls. I don't understand the lack of a green light on 3-0 pitches. Feast on that meatball!
  2. Three pitches into the game and Volantis gets Federico to fly out to right for the first out of the inning.
  3. Yesterday’s 11-2 romp by the Longhorns sets up today’s series rubber match with the Rebels at 1 p.m. (SEC Network Plus).
  4. Two-out, two-run double to the gap in left by Rodriguez. Texas leads Ole Miss 11-2 with RISP in the bottom of the seventh.
  5. Texas has a 9-2 lead and the bases loaded with one out in the bottom of the seventh.
  6. It’s a three-run sixth for Texas and the Longhorns aren’t done. Second Ole Miss pitching change of the inning with a runner on first and two outs.
  7. A base hit by Robbins and walks drawn by Mendoza and Becerra load the bases with two outs.
  8. Harrison gets out of a jam with RISP and two outs by striking out Bissetta.
  9. If y’all want to talk baseball, feel free. If you want to argue with each other and hurl insults, take it somewhere else. We don’t need another game thread derailed by nonsense.
  10. Coming off their first loss of the season, the Longhorns will look to bounce back and avoid a series loss to the Rebels at 2:30 p.m. (SEC Network Plus).
  11. Way too many insults back and forth. They need to stop.
  12. I’ve got a family obligation and won’t be around much tonight. Wanted to get the thread started regardless.
  13. It’s the SEC opener for the Longhorns, who put their 16-0 record on the line against the Rebels at 6:30 p.m. (SEC Network+) at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.
  14. A what-if moment that doesn’t get talked about enough: How much deeper does Texas go in the 2002 NCAA Tournament with a healthy Chris Owens?
