  1. Slider, a little bit of the sinker and the chanegup for Volantis.
  2. The Buckeyes are having trouble handling the breaking ball. That's not uncommon when teams face Volantis.
  3. Cavaco strikes out swinging for the first out of the inning.
  4. The Buckeyes have something cooking. Kaczmar lines one between Rodriguez and Mendoza into center field. Two on with nobody out in the Ohio State second.
  5. Volantis walks Furcht to open the second.
  6. The Longhorns go down in order in the top of the second. Herrenbruck has done a good job of keeping the ball down.
  7. A ground ball to first base ends an 11-pitch first inning for Volantis.
  8. I know the Astros can't play day games with the roof open because of the heat and humidity in Houston. Nevertheless, I love the look of this place when the roof is open for a day game.
  9. Volantis fell behind in the count and battled back to retire Ellis on a ground ball back to the mound.
  10. Vandenheuvel tried to bunt his way onto first base and Tinney erased that in a hurry. He fired a rocket to Borba for the first out on Volantis' first pitch of the game.
  11. Robbins gets jammed and pops out to short to end a scoreless, hitless first for the Longhorns.
  12. A couple of weak ground ball to third off the bats of Mendoza and Tinney for two quick outs in the top of the first.
  13. A first-pitch strike to Mendoza gets us underway at 2:06 p.m.
  14. Texas is the visiting team for this one, so the Longhorns will bat first.
  15. I’ve been pumped about this news since I found out! Thrilled to be on the same team with Hank once again!
  16. Glad y’all enjoyed the coverage from College Station. I left with a headache and my ears ringing, but a Texas win made it much, much easier to tolerate!
