    There's probably some ego bruising, if he was told he's not going to be starting next season. Because yeah, turning down that kind of money to play for Texas in what could be a historic year with his roommate Arch doesn't make any sense.

    I know it's a different world, but if you would have offered me $500k to attend The University of Texas and play football and chase Arch Manning's leftovers, I pity the person getting between me and my pen and that contract.

    Cignetti is an absolute witch. I was reading that they barely even practice... one he feels like they've mastered something they go study more film or something.

    I think Simon is expected back. I have not seen anything from Clark that would make me want him back, but part of that could be related to his recovery. Either way, I don't see how both come back, because that would be eight in there counting Niblett.

    I don't want to say we should treat this like an exhibition, but.... we should sort of treat this like an exhibition. Give Simon 15 carries and see what happens. Play Lockett most of the game. Get Lacey some snaps. That kind of stuff.

    This is best for both parties. I can't imagine how much he would have to improve before having a role on next year's team. Dude averaged 2.8 YPC in conference games this year.

    For some reason getting the sh!t kicked out of them one day before the selections are made looks better to the committee than Texas losing in August at Ohio St. by one score. Because otherwise the resumes are very similar, with the edge probably going to Texas.
