  1. We really are. It wasn't that long ago that we entered spring practice like "Um I wonder if we can find five passable dudes to put on the OL...." Now our biggest issues are.... well I'm not sure we have any big issues. "Will Collins, Broughton, Savea, Mitchell, Bledsoe, and Bryant be good enough at DT or will we bring in another dude after the spring?"
  2. I want Blue getting somewhere around that number.
  3. Gibson is built like a tank. It may end up being him. Or a 230 lb. Cedric Baxter.
  4. That seems kind of arbitrary, but also very doable.
  5. Maybe a Lendale White/Reggie Bush type split of touches between Baxter and Blue?
  6. Against Washington, Baxter and Blue combined for 18 carries for 123 yards and 2 TDs. (and yeah, those fumbles). They'll both be better, and the two guys we added are going to be really good. I sentence you to watching Kyle Porter for the rest of the morning.
  7. It was a strength at the end of the year. We lost a guy who was going to be finalist for the Doak Walker and didn't really miss a beat. We return everyone and added Gibson and Clark. If it's not a strength next season then something went horribly wrong. Edit: Just hold on to the damn ball.
  8. No one asked me, but I'd be perfectly fine going forward if our "marquee" OOC game was more Arizona St or Colorado than Michigan or Ohio St. Plus two Rice and UTEP type games. If a typical SEC schedule is going to feature OU, Georgia, Florida, etc.
  9. Everyone always puts too much emphasis on who is "starting", but it's going to be interesting to see how we end up handling that. Meaning, four guys who I'm assuming all expect to be starters in September.
  10. Very doable. This past year he was banged up and finished with 41 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and nine tackles for loss.
  11. Didn't seem like a great sign that he came in smaller than one of our starting corners.
  12. We're probably at 7 now? 8 if Robertson is thought of as "starter level"? Next up: Goolsby and Stroh. Although Baker and Cruz may show up at that level. What are we going to to with Agbo? He looked by the end of the year like he was down to about 280 lbs.
  13. I am pulling for Williams and Neto there, for obvious post-spring retention reasons.
  14. I would say that Wisner should get some of those Keilan Robinson type touches..... if I didn't already want those going to Blue. So not sure where that leaves Wisner. I'd say it might be easier if a switch to slot WR was made, but we've got dudes there too.
  15. Baxter, Blue, Gibson, and Clark aren't going anywhere. That leaves Red and Wisner. No knowledge at all but my money would be on Red, unfortunately. If we bring back all six in the fall that's a pretty nice recruiting job by the staff.
  16. Will Cruz be working exclusively at center? Really excited about our RB room. I'm curious to see how we juggle everyone, or attempt to.
  17. That'll work. In fact, he looks comparable I'd say to the other 2026 QB we offered the other day.
  18. I would imagine the development or lack thereof with Mitchell, Bryant, and Bledsoe will decide what we do at DT after the spring.
  19. I'm sure it would be about impossible to turn down being a QB at a place like Texas.... but man, go make millions playing golf. Talk about living the life.
  20. By my crude calculations, the offseason is roughly 18% over.
  21. How did I never notice that if you add an I to the front of the Oregon St uniforms, it would say Beavis. They should get on that.
  22. Sydir Mitchell, Zac Swanson?
  23. None that would be appropriate. Man, was Wingo actually underrated? A guy that size with that speed and long arms.... will be fun to watch.
  24. Baxter looked like a lab puppy last season. I think he's going to be extremely good.
