Red Five

Enjoy going 6-6?

We either fix whatever it is that's wrong with Manning in the next two weeks, or we have to make a change at QB. We can't go into conference with this QB playing like this. And yeah, probably the most shocking player performance in the 40-ish years I've been watching Texas football.

The backup is normally a good place to start. But if not Caldwell, then Cole Brevard.

You can't scheme around a QB who can't make simple throws to wide open dudes standing right in front of him. The solution to that is to switch quarterbacks.

I'm not sure what a significant dropoff would look like at this point. Handing the ball to the other team? It hasn't been talked about a lot, but UTEP dropped some easy INTs. That could have gone down as the worst performance ever by a Texas QB.

He was only a redshirt freshman? That feels like a name from about 2014.

Most "damning with faint praise" thing I've ever seen.

I don't know what posts are jokes around here anymore. Sometimes I catch myself making pretty weird faces in the mirror at the gym. And it's not because I'm hiding a secret injury.

Mack burned his bridge on his way out. No need to rebuild it for him.

Arch is more comfortable throwing the ball 40 yards downfield than he is tossing it to someone wide open standing right next to him.

Oh please, explain it to me then.

There are a couple of small differences between the two, however, if you look closely. 1) Kelce isn't a murderer, and 2) Kelce actually is a Hall of Fame TE. This thread is bizarre.

Our WR portal add is hurt.

I guess I'm confused, because unless this is just completely random, it feels like a "Wow, we sure do miss Quinn!" thread, on a day when our quarterback scored five TDs.

Did he die or something today?

Good point. Only non-aholes play mistake free football (if that was even on Kelce).

Wait. You think this was intentional?

Yes, we're basically Florida 2009 at this point. I heard that Jerrick Gibson actually murdered Jonah Williams.

That is much more of an exaggerated, overreaction than anything said here. What's your specific complaint? Arch sucked? Yeah, he did. We still suck in the red zone? Yeah, we do. It only cost us the game against the defending national champions.

Mosley is pretty great at getting open and catching the ball. Getting him back will help, but it will still require the QB to be able to hit the broad side of a barn.

Welcome to the internet, and to college sports. What did you expect?

We lost Golden, Bolden, and Blue and replaced them with a transfer WR who didn't play today. And true freshmen who didn't play today. I assumed the lack of portal activity there was a positive sign.

Seriously? It's a massive blowout if our defense isn't probably the best in the country. I have legit concerns about what he is seeing happen if that is true.

I do not want their support.
