    3rd base is an issue. It also doesn’t help that she’s struggling at bat. She got her first RBI in SEC play yesterday. 7-9 in the lineup is an issue.

    The ones coming in are awesome and I can’t wait to watch. I just worry about so many freshmen taking the place of veterans. That’s a me problem. 😂

    Vanderbilt is currently hosting and will probably sign Crump. LSU secured a commitment from former Florida guard Laila Reynolds and is hosting Jada Williams. SC has a scheduled visit from Virginia's Kymora Johnson. Rumors have also linked to Jordan Lee to SC. All three of these programs are hosting several portal players this weekend besides the ones mentioned above.

    Depending on Freshmen for Maddie’s senior year is asinine. I don’t care how talented they are. SC, LSU and Vanderbilt are hosting elite portal players and expected to sign some. Texas is not beating those teams with Freshmen. Sorry.

    Mike White has to wake up and use the portal more effectively. White generally prioritizes building a roster through traditional high school recruiting, particularly within the state of Texas. He uses the portal sparingly to fill gaps. Last June, I watched other teams bring in insane talent while White sat complacent and happy with the incoming freshmen. When I’d question why White wasn’t bringing in a pitcher or 3rd baseman to replace Mia Scott, people would point to the freshmen class coming in and it would drive me crazy. If you look around the SEC, many teams have several portal players who start. Alabama, Arkansas and Florida are much improved this year because of the portal. Texas Tech has an entire roster built from the portal. Mike White is the Dabo Swinney of softball, but even Dabo is starting to adjust.

    I don’t care how talented the incoming freshman class is, the plan can’t be to surround Maddie with a bunch of Freshmen. That’s almost criminal.

    Serious question: how do you know Skim hates Texas? I ask because I am new to her discord but starting to get that vibe. I have an issue with the way she presents Texas info, but I thought it was just a me problem.

    Skim Milkey put it out on her Discord this morning. She said “Jada Williams got a huge offer from Texas. Told them no after the exodus” and further explained the Breya connection. I asked around and was told Breya told her not to come.

    It was rumored Breya might portal. Well, she needs to get sent packing now. She’s telling girls not to transfer to Texas, specifically Jada Williams, who turned down a substantial offer because of Breya.

    I agree. Nothing is set in stone and several schools are talking to her so I am letting it play out.

    Maybe, but what is interesting is how the upperclassmen responded vs the underclassmen. Rori is Rori, the glue, and her relationship with Vic grew stronger. The same can be said with Kyla. She’s talked about coming to Texas to be coached hard. I am not going to keep talking about the rant. But I did notice pouts and negative body language by two girls post January. These same two girls were involved in shouting matches on the bench in Fort Worth and at the Final Four. There were some attitudes that clashed with other players and Vic.

    Texas is currently scheduling visits with Gracie Merkle, Dani Carnegie and Zya Vann, allegedly.

    Basically. But maybe players shouldn’t break curfew and get drunk, then go get blown out by Vanderbilt. I don’t understand why Texas fans are blaming Vic.

    This is a burner account but he is correct and this is what I have been alluding to. It happened in Nashville, the day before the Vanderbilt blowout. Several girls broke rules, relationships strained, trust broken and things were never the same. I don’t know how the team kept it together. I assume Rori was the glue.

    And I answered with very few schools have money in WBB. This isn’t football or men’s sports. Most schools don’t invest in WBB except the blue bloods and new bloods competing for Final Fours/National Championships. Texas is one of the few schools that has 7 figures in WBB. Unless these players are going to SC, UConn, USC, Iowa or Tennessee, the money isn’t there for all players.

    Lee is the one that makes no sense to me. She’s been the ultimate teammate. And Preston could be next year’s starting PG, but Texas is looking for one in the portal, so I can see her wanting to leave.
