    A&M will get some guys we want. Just the nature of things. Still a long way to go and I do agree with Gerry in thinking if he gets on campus then he flips.

    Unfortunately very true. Mack Brown was kind of born to be one of those football guys in a GM type role, he just came around too early. He accumulated plenty of talent but when he didn’t have the coordinators to do the heavy lifting he was cooked. Imagine us in that time with those players but with a Pete Carroll or a Bob Stoops for example. Still amazes me why we never truly went all out for Urban or Saban.

    Yea I’ll believe it when I see it too but given their struggles on the OL & Venables being a defensive coach, there could be a potential way back in there. Long way to go & it will be much more feasible if OU continues to struggle in SEC play.

    It feels like these visits getting pushed back due to outside forces (not the staff pushing them back) & landing on the Georgia game would seem to be favorable. However, given how crazy everything will be for that visit weekend, it’s going to be interesting to see how recruits feel about the official visit process with all of that going on. Other weeks could benefit recruits that would ideally want a more dedicated OV experience for them individually.

    We shall see! Let’s see if the storm plays a role in what type of game it is too. Sloppy game favors Georgia I think.

    I can definitely see everything you’re saying. I do feel like Georgia saw what happened to Kentucky the week before their game (the blowout at home against South Carolina) and just went in there expecting to win. I expect them coming off a bye to play well. They do have some injuries though which is concerning. I’m rooting for Georgia because I want it to be #1 vs #2 when they roll into Austin. It won’t feel quite the same if they’ve already lost to Bama & sit at #7 or #8.

    I think for the elite teams, which Texas is this year, a softer schedule actually favors us in the 12 team playoff era. I think every team needs a few games that really test them during the year but an easier schedule means less time on the field for starters & can help mitigate some potential injuries. I mean if we look at Georgia last year they had an easy schedule & only missed the playoffs because it was still set at 4 teams. Also, regardless of schedule, an undefeated team in the SEC will be ranked number headed into conference championship week. Win that game & it’s a guaranteed bye & the number 1 overall seed. That’s important.

    I would think game day still goes to the Texas-Georgia game. Not sure about the A&M one, especially if they’re not great this year. Only if there’s not a ranked matchup that weekend I would think. I also think Georgia will beat Bama. Curious as to why you think Bama beats Georgia?

    I have seen we are trending for her & with the way visits to Texas go, I would not bet against her ending up here.

    Yea that type of game should favor the better defense. Also, special teams will play a huge role.
