  1. Thanks for posting! Hope all you guys jump in as we grow
  2. Carl Weathers passed away today at the age of 76. I'm not sure how many times I have watched the Rocky movies ...
  3. Texas top 35 signee Cam Scott has also been tremendous this season at Lexington High (S.C.) ... tall guards are on the way! Scott and Tre Johnson are both 6-5/6-5.5
  4. Texas 5-star signee Tre Johnson has been terrific this season ... wears number 0 for Link Prep
  5. Texas has a legit shot here with 6-11 skilled big man from NBA Africa in Senegal Ulrich Chomche if he goes to college for a year ... he made an OV around the UH game Monday-Tuesday. He visited USC last weekend. Arizona also in the mix ... NBA G-league ignite definitely in play here too.
  6. Figured it's time to get this going ... Texas sits at 14-7, 3-5 in Big 12 play. Absolutely have to split one of the next two ... @ TCU Iowa State
  7. I would say this ... Bo Davis is a hell of a coach. For a guy like Alfred Collins ... it's more about him wanting to maximize. Maybe his final year will be the one, but he's got to decide he wants to be that guy. Kenny Baker is a high-end pass rush teacher/coach ... Jaray Bledsoe could be the one ... but he's in that same boat with Collins right now. A world of potential, and lack of consistency.
  8. Think what we've seen last two days with Jonathan Cunningham (North Crowley) and now Thomas ... is a type Coach Nansen and Texas like moving forward in the SEC. Long arms/levers LB's with frame to develop with the ability to pursue the ball.
  9. He's an EDGE all the way for me. And he's a very good edge prospect moving to the SEC ... long lever EDGE that will carry 275-280 very well.
  10. I just like others better. He's certainly got ability ... and he is a long ways away from a frame and technical standpoint. If he's a 4th in a class of four and it's a stash and dvelop scenario ... he has higher value for me.
  11. From a talent perspective ... big fan. And he was an early enrollee. I just never got the impression he was all in on being at Texas. He was coming to Texas because of Bo Davis. So from that perspective, don't think Texas lost much other than he has a lot of upside if it worked out.
  12. Texas, OU, LSU, Texas A&M etc... also evaluating 2025 IOL Demetris Dean of Jasper High ... +arm length guy that hasn't really started to fill out yet... 6-3.5'ish and 265. Junior HUDL: http://www.hudl.com/video/3/13394067/654121e296809706a48cc21d
  13. And Kiotti Armstrong is a legt 6-5, 240'ish
  14. Alabama assistant currently at Jasper High to see 2025 4-star TE and Texas target Kiotti Armstrong. Junior HUDL: http://www.hudl.com/video/3/17266105/654be24aab9c2705ec6e272c
  15. Oh yeah. Don't let young kids watch it ... they won't want to play football lol
  16. On defense in the state, linebacker is going to end up being terrific. So much more quality depth in the state at the position than a lot of recent classes.
  17. One of the deeper defensive line classes in recent memory in the state of Texas. A lot of quality prospects at the position.
  18. Two future 24 team leagues set up similar to the NFL is probably on the table down the line IMO.
  19. Some people have asked me to rank in terms of my preference ... 1. Brandon Brown - just not many guys that will be 6-2, 300-pounds with his level of natural strength, first and second step explosive quickness and power, lateral agility and physicality on contact. Young for his class too. 2. Josiah Sharma - Love, love, love this offer. SEC body and frame with the length and athleticism to play on the opponents side of the line of scrimmage. 3. Zion Williams - A big body anchor prospect that can hold up in the SEC against large and athletic humans. There are better pure athletes in the class, but not many with the frame, 80+inch wingspan and willingness to learn and ascend like Williams. 4. Dilan Battle - Another 300 pound+ prospect that can play over the ball in the SEC, but he has the athletic juice to play as a 3-tech as well. Can be a disruptor. 5. Floyd Guidry - Naturally explosive and strong with a frame that is just starting to scratch the surface. Plus arm length for a 6-1.5/6-2 player. 6. Landon Rink - The motor is among the best in the class. Rugged, tough hard worker that is closing in on 280 pounds. Will carry 295'ish very well in time. ***IF Texas signed 3-4 from this group ... tremendous class IMO*** Some guys... need to see more.

  22. Thanks to all! Let's have fun daily
  23. Talked about it on Coffee & Football this morning ... had someone with very close knowledge on Byron Murphy and T'Vondre Sweat's NFL draft likelihood say ... Murphy - 12-25 in the first round as of right now. Testing will determine that, and if he could push into the 8-10 range. Sweat - more of early 3rd. 1st and 2nd down player at NFL level.
  24. Nope. I'm thankful for the long term offer I had there. I'm excited to be a part of OTF, and some other opportunities I have to make decisions on in the next 3-4 months that would fit with being part of the OnTexasFootball team.
